Is the sidekick 3 coming soon? I was going to get the sidekick 2...but is the sk3 coming soon? And picture or info on it?

Rumor has it the sidekick 3 will be released October 2005. Cost about $450. I also hear the sk3 has bluetooth and enhanced features.

Serious (not so sure on the price though). Rumor has it from my data device release and test department that possibly even the end of September 05, or October 05. It is really on the down low and I have not seen what it looks like or gotten any more info on it...

Its the SK2, but in a black color. I posted that. I got it from a magazine about the new color Sk2 that will be coming in October.

It better not just have Java Script. That does not make the price jump up by $150 for a new customer. I could see paying $300 for a Sidekick 3, but not a black Sidekick 2.

SK3 will not be out until April of 2006. like are making hte SK3 like a music phone. no specs have been relesase. a limited edition of the sk3 will be release october of 2006 with UMA technology. then in mid 2007 they will be releasing SK NG. the sk ng will be like a slimer music phone with UMA.

I've heard alot of people say the same thing about the price in other forums...I think the reason for the high price is because it's a "special edition" and probably also a "limited edition" so for most of us, including myself, we can't see paying so much for something that's only new real feature is the color (and maybe the fact that it already has javascript so you don't have to wait for the OTA update).
but some people will most likely view it as sort of a collectors item, or really have the need to be different and/or cooler than everyone else, or are just big fans of Mr. Cartoon and his work so they are willing to pay a little more. (although I don't see how just making it 'black' shows his creative talent???)

If it was the Sidekick 3 then $399 would be acceptable if it has advanced features. Also, who the heck is Mr. Cartoon?

i recently went to the nearest t-mobile store to return my sidekick 2 becase the phone was defective. i had asked about the sidekick 3 and told the employee that i had hard rumors that it was coming out this november or christmas and he told me those rumors were false. There is no sidekick 3 coming out this year. however, hhe also told me that the new sidekick 3 will be expected in the beginning of next year.....january or february.. no details on it yet though.
