Either Nokia is liking me a lot or I just get the cool reps...meanwhile I am sure verizon is beginning to hate me. I was in an extensive conversation with a Nokia Rep today about feature availability and what can be done to get them, i.e. unlocking java, working around what verizon has put on the phone and what would happen if I had my cell phone software updated at Nokia. Well if the software were updated, it would make the phone into the 6255 and therefore unusable on the Verizon network. I had a pretty candid conversation about java and the guy was telling me he wished he knew how to do it cause they would do it if they could, but they can't, unless they flash the software but again that makes the phone a 6255. SO apparently nokia is n...

That pisses me off so much. This Nokia is great because of all the features listed on the Nokia site but Verizon just dumbs the phone down to nothing.

To my knowledge Diego will only let you use your own mp3 songs as ring tones and that is about it

Diego allows you to do that and can also enable Java. I have done the former but not the latter as, unless that lets me get a real mp3 player working, I see no point.

Agreed...does anyone know how to get the Media Player fully functional??? There has to be a hack out there?!?! Playing a single song at a time is annoying.

Also, I have connected via bluetooth to my PC and every time I try tranferring an mp3 it cancels the connection when it hit a certain size. Is that Verizon's doing? If I connected via a DK-2 cable, would it also cancel the transfer? I have had success loading MP3's on the MoblieMMC via a card reader - just don't want to have to take the card out of the phone everytime.

Otherwise, I am still happy with my purchase.

To my knowledge there most likely won't be a crack to the MP3 player as it was custom made for Verizon specifically. As for loading and mp3s, I don't have bluetooth on my laptop, but I have had success transfering the files via the Infrared.
