Nokia 6255i / 6256i
Nokia 6236i MADE IT 2 VERIZON...WILL 6256i??? EVEN RAZR MADE IT!!
So I know every1 has been saying 6256i will never make it to a verizon store but the 6236 wasnt advertized on the nokia website 4 Verizon 4 very long and the flip has 4 a long time and I just recently heard roumors about RazR goin 2 Verizon...So what is all ur oppinions on that? do u think ill be able 2 get it from a store cuz I dont want 2 go through any hassle at BB..Or should I just get the 6236i? The only bad part would be it not having bluetooth..Otherwise I compared and they r pretty much the same..Can any1 tell me?

From what I've read VZW will not offer the 6256i instore,only thru indirects like BestBuy & RadioShack.The 6236i and the 2128i will be their "offical" Nokia options.Seems to me that VZW doesn't like this phone.They disabled key features(the mp3 player)and the setting of mp3 files as ringtones.Maybe they don't want any high-end Nokias to compete with their beloved LGs,Samsungs,and Motos. 🙄

YES, THE ANSWER IS YES. My ultimate proof is that yesterday in the mail, amongst the usual junk mail advertising, was a one page ad from Verizon with a picture of the 6256i , which is the only reason why I stopped to read junk mail. That ad said that the 6256i is at VzW stores and it was urging people to hurry and take advantage of the offer. -Lorna

yes its true i went 2 a VZ store and they said 1st quarter next year. Maybe he said mid cant remember...lol but its a dif version prob updated...im bein a lil more patient...

Good. Then maybe they'll finally have some GetItNow ringtones available fo' the 6256. I'm jus' amazed VZW has been so childish 'bout GIN support fo' the thing.. is it 'cus it has full obex an' they don' like that, or is it 'cus its only been available thru the indirects? Who knows.
Tho' I have been gettin' by jus' fine wit' the two or three built-in Nokia tones that are good. Out of like 30, lol.

In fact I don't mind the ringtones, but I like gadgets, so am interested in changing them out and getting variety. All in all, though, I am ok with the ringtones. I started with ELVES and now have that Latin melody, something like MODUNO. For a while I had Chopin. All who call me hear Cristina Aguilera singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

That's Great News! 😁 By the way ,what was the special that VZW sent to you? The 6256i really is a nice phone hopefuly they will give it the support it deserves. As of 12/15 no ringtones yet.....

I was at a VZ Corp store 2day and the guy that works there said sometime next year...Mid or so he said its gonna be a more updated I think..I dunno we'll c....

But you're the only who has seen it and you threw it away. It's not Verizon's credibility in doubt--it's yours. Unless you're the only one out of millions of customers Verizon sent the flyer to.
