Another Bluetooth Crippled Verizon handset
The info disclosed on Phonescoop says version 1.1 / supports Headset, Handsfree, Object Push, Generic Access, File Transfer, and Serial Port profiles.

Protecting the Rights of Wireless Consumers
I understand the frustration, but is it really a "Right" to have these features????? I don't think so.
They bought the phones from Nokia (or whoever) with FULLY FUNCTIONAL BLUETOOTH they then DISABLED that feature of the phone, and installed their own proprietary "get it now" non-bluetooth solution in it's place and proceed to charge their customers a monthly fee if they want that "service" that is NOT NEEDED on the phone if the original manufacturer supplied functionality of the phone hadn't been disabled.
Is it their perogative to do that? Sure I would agree - is it the RIGHT THING TO DO by their customers? I think most would agree it's not. It's nickel and diming their customers just because they can by creating a service they don't ...

Verizon has been very much anti someone else getting money when we can. And that is what blue tooth does.
Someone getting something like a ring-tone from an Average Joe's website and VZW getting nothing for the transaction is how the markets and economics should work.
Customer should get what he wants and is willing to pay for.
