MMC: How large will the 6255i go?

On the other Nokia phones that take MMC cards the word is the 1 Gigabyte cards work fine, a few little quirks when using a card that large but all-in-all it works.

I was under the impression that due to that fact the 6255i would have no issues using a high capacity card-- well according to the Nokia Asia-Pacific site:

http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,56183,00.html »

The phone can only accept cards to 64 MB-- now again this is the Asian-Pacific Nokia site, and as best I can tell the information looks dated as hell, anyone have any intelligent input or thoughts?

I will be SEVERLY dissapointed if it is capped to 64mb.

You have access to a 6255i? How? Also-- can the ring profile be changed fron the external buttons-- meaning can you put the phone on vibe, silent, etc without opening it?

Man, I hope not. That's just what I need - my phone is put on silent because I happened to lean against my chair wrong!

origional Message:
I noticed that the 6255i is able to accept a MMC under the battery. I looked on your website and noticed the largest card you sell is 128MB even though the Nokia Asia website describes the 6255i as only accepting MMC up to 64 MB. My questions is will a 1GB MMC work in this phone? I would like to use it as a portable music player and I think it would be in Nokia's best interest to recognize that capability. I realize the largest MMC with Nokia printed on it is 128MB, but I can purchase another 1GB MMC for less than your 128MB MMC, that is nearly 8 times as much storage. Thanks a bunch for your response.

Answer:
Thank you for e-mailing Nokia's Contact Center.
