i was looking at the phone's specs. and it saids it has Txt messenging it this true or is it Sprints Shortmail???

This phone and all the other phones do use Shortmail still, however, it is projected by the end of next month Sprint PCS will transfer text messaging to SMS. That means the text messaging will be true with any SMS capable phone. Any phone that has came out after the Nokia 3588i is SMS capable.
