incoming calls/text messages

is there a way to make it say the name of the person who is calling you or sending you a text message, instead of just showing the phone number?

Nokia 6315i keygaurd keylock

Is there a quick key combination to turn on the keygaurd or keylock? It used to be that would turn it on or off, for Nokia I mean. Anyone know?

Bluetooth and the 6315i

Does anybody know if this phone can actually do the bluetooth things like it was advertised to do. The only bluetooth capability I can make work is the ear piece. Where is the data services and all the bluetooth music transfer stuff. The add at the verizon store made this something like the perfect phone. I think I was taken for a oneway rip off ride

ringtones

does anyone have any idea how to add a ringtone whether it be a wav or mp3 file that i have on my computer to the phone? I was told many untruths from verizon when i bought the phone and now i suspect that this also CAN NOT be done. They told me all I had to do is copy the mp3 to the micro sd card and choose...this is not the case
Please help

Reception and call quality????

I am looking for a phone with excellent reception and call quality.

I have tried so far: lg 8100,8300,krazr and now have the 9900. Are there any phone with better reception than these? I may return the 9900 and get something else if it is out there. Any help would be appreciated. 👀

Does it have FM radio?

So many of the Nokias have an FM, why not this one? Is Verizon against it or something? Also, I have seen Nokias that allow not only contact phone numbers, but addresses as well, will this one let me add the address, or is Verizon blocking that feature?

If there was an easy way to keep my in calling partners, I would drop Verizon.

6315i Outside Indication of VM

Wondering if anyone knows how to the adjust the setting for the outside display of this phone?

I would like the light to flash when there is a voicemail. Is this possible? Or have the display indicate there is a message without having to push the button to light up the display. Any way to leave the outside screen permanently on and dim? I leave my phone on my desk all day at work and want to see if I have a message by looking at it, not picking it up and pushing a button to check for messages.

Thanks for the help.

Which One?

I have until Monday to decide what to do.
I bought (retail price) the LG vx8300 after reading all the reviews. Ratings and reviews are excellent.
Now the Nokia 6315i is out and there isn't many reviews about it. The Nokia is a little smaller than the Nokia and I like the looks.
Vereizon hasn't had much experience with it since it just came in. I've never had a Nokia.
Any advice?

Can the speaker phone be used while the phone is closed?

I'm interested in the 8300. Although, I will probably go with the nokia if it has the ability to answer calls while closed. Speaker phone answer while closed?
Also wondering if txt msgs can be viewed while closed?
Thanks
