Motorola V365

Can Any one give info on getting this phone unlocked?

Ok, I have figured most of this stuff out on the phone. I know you need the USB data cable to use phone as modem. What else do you need to do or get? My overall objective is to use the phone to get on the internet on my computer and, if possible, on the internet on my Playstation 3.

Whenever a call is missed, all I get is a message: Missed calls. But there is no way to actually view the numbers.

How do you view the missed calls?

When I use my bluetooth with my phone, it does this annoying ring when someone calls me. All the ringtones I have set up for my contact dont ring to what I have them set up as. I cant figure out a way to get it to ring like normal when using my bluetooth. It rings fine when I am not using it, but I want it to ring the same if possible. Any comments would be appreciated.

That this phone is only slated for release to Corporate business customers and will more than likely never see the light of day in a retail store... 🙄

this is the thickess phone i have seen since like 2000-2001.. y did they make this so insanely thick..

How does Motorola go from making phones like the RAZR to this? I understand the size accommodates features and all that crap but technology should be progressive. Make it smaller then someone will buy it...but not me, I will not be buying the V365 aka the Moto BRIK.

I am going to Vietnam tomorrow. Am I able to put a new SIM card in that I purchase in Vietnam? Is this phone "unlocked" and able to do this?

Weak eyes. How large are the displays, inside and outside? Haven't bought yet.

How many calls does this phone keep in the call history? The RAZR only keeps 10 so I'm losing a record of who called early in the day. Or any recommendations on phones (not smartphone/pda) that keeps a lot of numbers in history?

I just imported a number of mp3 format files to my Moto V365 ( cingular ) and I cant for the life of me figure out how to assign them to individual people in my address book. I thought the phone could do that, i know it can assign a photo to a contact but i cant figure out how to assign each one a ringtone. Please help.

using the camera on the phone, I have taken pics of my address book people. I have followed the instructions on attaching the pic to an address book ID. However, when someone calls me, the pic doesn't show up as my phone is ringing per the instruction in my Motorola manual. What am I doing wrong?

I just started my service with Cingular in Feb. 2007 and I purchased my phones from LetsTalk.com.

I absolutely love the phone. The speaker part is the best when I talk to my husband who is wintering in AZ.

What's the difference, if any, between Motorola Phone Tools 4.x and Mobile Phone Tools 4.x? Both are available from apparently reputable vendors for less than $10.

Moto's site says its software is for Moto phones only. Not sure about Mobile Phone tools.

I have a V365, no memory card.

I already have standard mini-USB cable (fits the V365's USB port). Do I still need the $35(?) software just to use the cable? (Computer is Win XP Pro SP2.)

When the Default USB connection is set to Memory Card, phone appears as a generic drive, but Windows says to insert a disk. The phone does not (yet) have a memory card, so maybe that's the answer?

When the Default USB is set to Data/Fax connection, Windows see it as a V365 but needs to install software, and none is found.

Basically, all I want to do with the USB is download photos (not email them to myself!), and maybe upload a custom ringtone (if supported).

If all this is detailed in the meager manual, I can't find it.
