ok, so there's a folder 'Notes' in My Documents but how the hell do you make notes? (not voice notes)

Did anyone really buy this phone without a contract and pay around $150? If so please tell me how you did it.

By default the Cingular 3125 is set to send out a mono signal at relatively low quality audio via the A2DP Bluetooth. To change this you will need to make a few changes to the registry. If registry mods are not your cup-a-tea, you're outa luck.

Bought the 3125 to run with built-in MP3. Do not like headset.... anyone know of adapter for crazy worthless 12-pin connector? so that i can use normal standard headphones?

the front middle key keeps getting pressed by accident in my pocket and play music loud even if phone is on silent. instead of lowering the volume on external screen each time, is there a way to lock the front keys?

and another question, where's the volume for ringtones?

Just picked up two new 3125's this weekend and still getting used to the Mobile5 setup.

One of the reasons I bought this phone was for the POP3 Email, but it would appear it's been disabled (by Cingular?), as well as the ability to Add a New Meggaging platform.

According to the Owners Manual (pdf), there should be a 4th option called POP3 at StartMessaging, right after Text, Outlook and MMS. There is no 4th option!

Additionally, when I Select either Text, Outlook or MMS, select Menu, Options, New and input my info for my ISP, the Next Button never goes active, it remains greyed out and unselectable.

What's up with this? Does anyone else have this issue? Do you have a POP3 in your list? If not, and you somehow managed to ena...

Just got a 3125 and it's my first experience with Windows Mobile. It's been a hard transition for me, coming from simple Moto GUIs.

Is there a way to get the 3125 to play imported mp3s as ringtones? No success so far. I just installed a Micro SD, and will try moving them there to see if it makes any difference.

Is there a way to change the font COLOUR in the home screen? The white is getting easily washed out.

Any links, resources, or help is greatly appreciated.

Every once in a while I get a blank screen when trying to access the web. I have to turn off the phone & back on to correct the problem. Anyone have the same problem?

What antenna is on the 3125? I heard that it is the RF3. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to change the background that resides behind the icons that are in the "Start" menu, i.e., Settings, Internet Explorer, Active Sync, etc. because I really dislike the big blue Cingular Jack that is behind there for the background. I have the Microsoft Theme Generator and it lets me change the Home Screen background but the "Start" menu background stays the same. So yea...if anyone has any information on this please post it! Just got the phone today. Can someone tell me if something is supposed to show up on the external LCD when the phone is opened? I get the clock when it's closed, but when I open it up it's just a black screen. I can see the back lighting, so it looks like something should be there, but it's just blank. Is that normal?

How do you get Outlook "Notes" to synch into the phone?

Can you edit the desktop configuration of this phone (i.e. delete icons that you don't use, move them around, clean it up, etc.)?

I'd like to be able to move the most used icons to the first scroll sceen and bury ones I'll never (or rarely) use and I'm wondering if that's possible.

Only 7 days left on the ol' Sprint contract and I'm chompin' at the bit to buy this phone!

Also, I heard Cingular makes you buy the $20 data contract upon purchase. I also heard that you can drop it on the 2nd month. Any truth to this???

I was wondering if you have to wait until a call is connected to activate the speaker phone or if you can turn on the speaker after dialing.

I had a V400 and you had to wait until you were connected for 10-15 seconds to switch to the speaker. A big pain in the ass.

I just bought a silicone/neoprene case cover for this phone off of eBay. It came with the case, covers for both displays, and a lanyard (strap).

It seems to work quite well thus far! For anyone that buys one of these, some tips to help you get it installed:

1. The covers have two protective shipping/installation covers on them, each side labeled "1" or "2". Peel the "1" cover off, and then cover it over the display you are working on. Take your time to make sure it fits, and don't cover it all the way right off, so that you can make sure it lines up and doesn't have too many air pockets/bubbles. Once it is in place, use the supplied cloth to seal it, and then remove the "2" cover. Then, do the same for the second display.

I setup some voicetags for some speeddial keys. Setting them up seemed to work fine.

The manual says: "To make a call or launch a program using the voice tag; 1. On the Home screen, press and hold the VOLUME down button on the left side of the phone for two seconds. 2. After a "beep" sound, sat the recorded voice tag that you have assigned to the phone number you want to call or the program you want to launch. The phone plays back the voice tag and then dials or launches the associated program."

When I hold the down side of the volume button down, all that happens is the volume screen is displayed and the volume is lowered one tick. No beep. I have gone ahead and said a voice tag "Calendar"... phone does nothing.

Two questions on the 3125 please. Is this phone capable of voice independent / digit dialing? (where you can just speak the number)... and I have hear rumor that this phone is capable of using MP3's as ringtones. Is this true and what are the steps in setting this up?

Ive had this 3125 for about 2 weeks now and my camera wont work. I used the camera maybe two times last weekend and it worked perfectly. Now whenever I try to go to the camera or video recorder it does nothing. It shows the loading icon at first stops and then nothing happens at all. If anyone had this happen or perhaps know how to fix this let me know. thanks alot
