Mini SD card?

I am purchasing the 3125 and wondering if there are mini-SD card compatibility issues with any of the brands of mini-SDs. The Qtek Manual says Secure Digital but I'm finding other brands at better prices.

This will be my first phone that uses external memory... I know some SD brands won't work with my Dell PDA.

Any gotchas I need to be aware of before buying a miniSD? e.g. I've found a Ritek Ridata 1GB 150X Pro III mini SD for $21.89.

THANKS!!! Great to find this forum!

Comm Manager Question

When I first got the phone, pressing the Enter key from the Homescreen would bring up Comm Manager, which was very convenient. Now, pressing the Enter key does nothing. Any ideas on what I did? For that matter, is there a way to assign shortcuts to the navigation pad, as there are on most phones?

Thanks in advance...

GPS? Location finder?

Does the 3125 contain any mapping software which will tell the location for directions, etc? GPS or A-GPS?

I'm trying to decide between the Sony 810i and the HTC 3125?

Options for getting the cingular 3125 phone

The guys a phone scoop dropped my last post thinking I was trying to advertise but that is not what this is.

If you don't mind being on a research panel, a company called IMMI pays $50 a month and gives you a 3125 phone for 2 years to be a panel member.

No one makes any money here, they just pay the monthly servie fee and the phone samples audio every few seconds for research companies.

You have to be in the right demographic area/age and so on to get the phone, but it's worth a try.

I got a 3125 this way and I have not had any problems with it.

Now phone scoop please let this fly. I am not affilated with them in any way other than using the phone. This could be a good deal for some people who like this phone.

Will a bluetooth keyboard work with 3125?

Has anyone tried connecting a bluetooth keyboard to the 3125 smartphone? Typing using the keypad is just very painful.

Video streaming on Windows smartphones.

If you want to see streaming video on your smartphone I suggest doind a search for streaming video in googoe or yahoo on your PC. Once you have it streaming in Media Player on your PC select FILE>PROPERTIES and copy the streaming video location and paste it into an email to your device and send it to your device. You can now click on the link from your text message inbox and the video stream will start on your device.

I hope that wasn't confusing. Just remember that your device is not broadband and some streams won't run as smoothly as they do on your home PC.

If anyone knows of any good webcams/streaming video sites please post them. Gotta love unlimited data on this device. I'm streaming all the time. I can't wait to see my data usa...

Streaming and MP3 on H700 headset

I did an experiment today with the Cingular 3125. I downloaded and installed "Bluecast" for my device. It is an app that claims to be able to stream all your handsets audio (mp3's streaming audio, etc) to a standard bluetooth headset. This is great cause I hate those stereo headsets. I tried it out and it works AWESOME!!! Well worth the $10 to get the full version. I also listen to streaming radio using mindows media player (www.thestreamcenter.com/pda). I wanted to see how long my battery would last streaming audio to my device and to my bluetooth headset. Starting on a fully charged headset and phone I was able to stream for a full 2 hours. This doesn't seem too bad considering the constant data stream and the constant bluetooth stream. I'...

How is the reception on this phone? I have an LG CU500 and the reception is great, but I miss having a smartphone and am considering this phone. Reception is the most important factor to me.

Thanks in advance.

Internet Browsing

Just curious. I am considering upgrading from my terrible V3 ASAP. I am torn between the 3125 and the 8125. I really like the feature set in the 8125, especially the built in WiFi, but I don't know if I want to pony up an additional $40 a month for the data service. The 3125 doesn't have WiFi, but the unlimited data plan is only an extra $20 a month. I guess it's going to come down to how well each handset handles internet browsing. Anyone able to offer any help?

There are a lot of rumors about this phone being released by Cingular. I had a new phone credit coming up, and I want this phone, but I don't want to wait for a phone that isn't going to arrive. Anyone have any good information on when it's going up for sale through Cingular?

Slingbox and the Cingular 3125

This should become an active topic I hope. The Slingbox is now compatible with Windows Mobile devices so you can watch your TV on your phone now. Heres the magic question...How does it look? I can see it looking very good on 3G devices but the Cingular 3125 is only EDGE. Has anyone used Slingbox on an edge Windows Mobile device? I think the Cingular 2125 or Audiovox 5600 would be perfect examples as they are EDGE and have the same processor as the Cingular 3125. How cool would it be to be able to watch ALL your channels that you see at home and even DVR if you have it, ALL ON YOUR CELL PHONE!!!
