Memory 44.04MB

On my MDA I have this much memory displayed when tapping start->settings->system->about. sounds low-like it should be 128MB.

You, too?

8125 Buttons Going Haywire...

Hello...here's a funky one that Cingular suggested I post on the forum.

Brief history...I've had this 8125 for about 15 months (read: no warranty). After a trip to Mexico where I was unable to charge my phone (forgot the charger and couldn't charge via USB once the battery was completely dead) and after enduring a very humid week, I came home and put my phone on the charger. It charged fine, but now the buttons either don't work anymore, or they do something completely different than what they're mapped for (with the exception of two buttons). The keyboard is also not working, although the screen does change when it's opened.

What's really weird, though, is that turning on the camera or pressing the button that pulls up the intern...

PC to Hand Held Click/Auto dial Program HTC WIZARD/8125

PC to Hand Held Click/Auto dial Program HTC WIZARD/8125

I'm looking for software for windows mobile that will link with my lab top via land connection or WIFI with my hand held cell phone. When they are linked the computer is able to send the phone a command to dial a phone number from the computer's data base (Outlook,Act,GoldMine,Excel). The command could be executed by a click of the mouse pad that sends the phone number to the phone and then the phone dials out.

Thank you very much! Can you help? Suggestions? 🙂

Voice Dialing button on headset

I recently got the Cingular 8125 and love it. One thing I do miss from my Nokia 6620 is when the keys were locked I could hold the button on the headphone wire down and it would activate voice dialing without me having to fumble for the phone while driving to unlock the keys. It seems the
8125 (or any WM5 phone?) has to have the keys unlocked first and the button on the PHONE itself pressed to activate voice dial. Anyone know how to activate voice dialing without unlocking the keys?

internet explorer and GPS

Hey I got 2 questions,

1. I tried to go to a certain site on my ppc but it won't let me, I'm curious do I need to change any setting or is that just the way it is?

2. Is there any GPS program that I can download with out having to buy any additional hardware?

Stereo headset recommendation, please...

Hi all,

Upgraded from SDA to MDA - can't beat the full keyboard and the stylus. But I am still trying to find a decent stereo headset. The original wired set is terrible (unconfortable, tacky, etc). So... any good stereo headsets that actually work with the weird 2.5 jack on the MDA?

FYI - I have tried Eargloves, Jabras and also various brand-less types but they don't deliver sound through both channels - only mono. Any good suggestions?

Also... I am, of course, considering a BT set, but for some reason I recall reading that the MDA did not support stereo BT- true or false? I have recently bought mine and the software has been updated (2.6, I believe). Does this version support stereo BT?

Thanks for your recommendations.

MDA or BB Pearl??

I need some advice. I currently have a BB pearl and I love this phone but I can't surf ebay and look at items I am selling or wanting to buy. I guess it doesn't support those pages or something. Even my old sidekick 2 could do that! Anyways, can anyone advise me as to trading it in for an MDA? Do they have good battery life, good signal, easy to use?? Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
