K750 (and W800) support GSM 900, 1800 and 1900 (not 850). This is an issue if your carrier only provides a GSM 850 network.
I purchased an unlocked K750 June 2005, switched my sim card from my S710 from Cingular and have loved the K750 until about two weeks ago. After about 5 months of use, my K750 stopped receiving a signal. I spent about a week going back and forth with Cingular’s technical support.
The result is not good for me. Cingular sold AllTel a portion of the AT&T GSM 1900 network towers. Then on Nov 6, 2005, Cingular removed the majority of their remaining GSM 1900 network in Oklahoma City were I live. I verified this with several Cingular technical representatives.
Bottom line is Cingular plans to limit their resou... (continues)
Hiya, i recently bought the w800i im very impressed with everything apart from the video length its only letting me record for 10secs. Does anyone know how i can increase the video length as i think everyone will agree 10 secs isn't very long at all. Thanks in advance for any help. 🙂
i am concerned about the w800i and w750i's software. When downloading the songs on to the phone, could i use the Bluetooth to do it or the USB cable? and also, do the phone accept files that is being transfered to the phone by a Mac computer? Also, if i have to use the USB cable and CD-ROM, could i install it on the Mac, because my computer is a Macintosh computer... THANKS!
I used the SE WAP wizard to setup my phone for internet access through T-Mobile USA. I got the SMS, installed the utility, and was told that the setup was successful. However, when I try to access a web site, I get an error stating "Communication error. Try again or contact your operator for support."
Anyone have any custom settings for this stuff? Thanks.
Ok, I really want to purchase one of these two phones and I know that the W800 is supposed to have a better muscic player, don't care. I have an iPod, and don't need another Mp3 player. The only thing that I am concerned about is having a high quality camera phone that gets relatively good reseption. As far as I can tell the K750 is advertised more for the camera and is even made to look more like a serious camera, black and silver rather than silver and orange, however no one is actually confirming that it indeed has a better quality camera. If this is the case I think that I would prefere to get the W800, even though I like the K750 cosmetically more, because I feel a little more confident about the reception with this phone because it was... I have a question about the K750 phone with the memory card.. How much can you expand the memory card duo on this phone? I know the S710 is only up to 64mb if I'm correctly and I'm disappointed in that.. So I'm looking for a new phone.
My seconded question would be the W800 phone.. Which one do you like? Does the W800 have any problems with reception in the US market since they are starting to sell them to the USA now??? And since this one you can have the 512 memory card how much can this phone expand to??
Well third question. Which one of the two would you recommend to get if money was no option? Just quality? Thanks
I've been looking in to purchasing the Sony K750i, and I'm extremely impressed with the phone. I have also looked in to purchasing the Moto E398, they both seem like very similiar phones but the Sony has many advantages. I would most likely buy the Moto new for around $200, but I'm curious, if I buy the Sony used online on eBay will it not come with a warranty? Sounds like a stupid question but I have no idea how the warranty works on used cell phones, especially such a new model as the K750i. Any help would be great!
I have T-Mobile SE D750i and probably I am stupidly missing something very simple but I couldn't figure out how to record the video longer then 10sec... I have 64MB memory stick card and it is empty but still recording goes only to 10 sec. and than stops. Of course I could start the new one and like this on and on as long as there is free memory but I would like to have one continuous video recording longer then 10 sec.
Is this possible at all?
Could somebody please with more experience or intelligence advise me what to do, I would be really grateful. Otherwise the phone is absolutely great! T hanks a lot!! 🙂
I have to say it's a great phone. My coverage with Cingular might not be as good as my previous phone because of the band issue but it's decent in some areas. The 2 mega pixel camera is pretty good. I took a few shots and it's almost as good as my Canon 2 megapixel camera. You do have to be somewhat steady with the shot though to achieve the higher looking quality shots. To be honest you can get away with using this phone as your take a pic anytime device. I like the menus as I'm a previous Sony Ericsson owner. I started with the T306 and you can say I started at the bottom of their quality. I say get this phone if you want a multimedia phone that will last you a long while.
I wanted to have some information about SE k750i before buying it and greatly appreciate if I get some. 1)What is the duration of video recording by de-fault. 🙄 2)Can we copy songs from radio to phone somebody said no 😲 3)How good is the sound and clarity after video recording 😳 4)Some say that there is no missed call shown on the screen Incoming calls are heard low………..and nearly missed in busy atmosphere. is that true? 😢 5)Some say that we do not receive new message unless we read the delivery report. 🤭 Thanx for the info in advance…………… 😁 Regards Dominic.
