Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

i spoke with a manager at verizon at he stated that 05/15/05 they are releasing there new phones for the month and he wont know until a couple of days before if the E 815 is one of them, we can only hope.

So the E815 is supposed to be coming out closer to the last week in may, and the a840 is out now, therefore despite the fact that the a840 does not have BT, and it is GSM enabled, what other features does it have that the e815 does not? I am seriously considering the e815 as my next phone, but want to know from all of you is it worth the investment? Thanks!! 😁 🤣 😎

Does anyone know if the E815 will support POP3. I've read some sites that says it does and some that says it does not.

in your own opinion, how long do you think it will take for the E815 to go on sale? And how much will the initial price be? Guesses are accepted

Verizon has a history of disabling features, even removing features customers purchase the dam phone for. So, does anybody know what will stay and which ones will go ?
Im pretty sure the bluetooth will be crippled much like the v710. But what about the mp3 player ? custom ringtones ? Syncing with my mac ? Thanks for any info.

Amazon.com just slashed the price of the v710 by almost 60%, and if you buy it with a wireless plan, you get the phone for free.

This looks very much like a desperate attempt on Verizon's part to get rid of as many v710s as possible before releasing the new e815.

Are you kids on crack? You gotta be nuts for even thinking about buying this phone. If the V710 situation wasn't bad enough,who would support verizon and buy this phone also? Lets forget about the entire bluetooth situation, just the phone looks alone want to make me hurl. I don't want to call anyone stupid, but as a whole verizon customers gotta be the dumbest around.

Verizon dont have a clue when this phone is coming out the e815 that is but thats no surprise. All the accessories will virtually be the same so you cant go by that either but i went further after my frustrations with my v710. I called Motorola it looks like this phone will be a all digital vcast phone for Verizon. At first the guy claimed he had no information on the phone but after further persistence he broke down like a little kid and said first half of this year and than went on to say May or first part of June. Is it really that hard to be honest with people? He said there might be a slight delay thats why he said first part of June but gave no reasoning for the delay. If i find out anything more i will let you know!

I might have a problem. I am planning to get the e815 when it comes out but my father, who is the main account holder, is away until late June. Do you guys think I could still upgrade my phone even though I am not the account holder? Thanks for any responses.

a840 vs e815

They both look the same, pretty much has the same features and the a840 doesnt have bluetooth.
Is that all ? , can someone drop some knowledge on this.

One thing I did not like about the V710 was the "funky" wallpaper. I wonder if the 815 will have the same wallpaper as the 710? I like a plain wallpaper. Anyone know?

I currently have a VX6000 which has already been replaced so its on its last legs. I have 2 years that expire in August. Through my job I can get the v710 for 70 dollars now but if I do I won't have the every 2 but its cheap for $70 dollars. If I wait till August I am sure the V710 will be discontinued and the E815 will be out . Based on the tech info here there is not much of difference except for Ev-do which I doubt I use and maybe a different battery. What should I do get the v710 for the low price or wait till my every 2 is over and get the e815. All I want is bluetooth but since verizon is limited to this phone for now (till 8100) comes out.

If you go to Verizon's website today, they are endind the promo on their buy on get one camera phones in 10 days!!! They spell it out on their front page.

This would lead one to belive that soon after they end the promo for their old phones their trying to get rid of we cant start to expect to see the release of their new ones... the e815, tr650, a970, vx8100, etc.

Lets hope...

I went to the Verizon store, and bought my V710 last Sunday for 150 (didn't send in the $50 rebate yet) bear in mind as you read this,
ITS NEW OUT OF THE BOX FROM VERIZON !

1. Camera lens frame was dented

2. Battery life is less than 2 days if you leave the BT radio set to always on.

3. the keypad light seems to dim if you press the keys to hard, or hardly at all.

4. Charger connection seems to require you to touch it just right before it stays charging.

5. Metal strip between the END/power and 3 key is coming up, pushed it down with fingertip.

I should put this in the review section.

Which is better the moto e815 or the lg vx5200? When will they be released? What is the best verizon phone for a decent price? I need help.
