Are there any plans for Verizon to introduce a Treo 700 that uses the Palm OS and which can utilize EVDO?

Questions for advanced 650 users

Greetings all. I am an avid cell user and also have a huge need for my PDA. I have contemplated getting a PDA/phone but I have some questions. I am a Windows user should I wait for the new Treo with Windows? Is the phone quality good? What do you experts think?

650 with TomTom Nav 5 GPS -- who makes GPS?

The Palm Store now sells the GPS for this device -- it uses TomTom Nav 5 software. The GPS receiver, however, does not look like the one made by TomTom.

Who makes Palm's GPS? Is it TomTom, just repackaged? The Palm's deal looks damn good for the price -- better than TomTom's. It includes cradle, car cables, etec, etc.

Treo Vs Anything

Treo Vs Anything anybody selling 2 cans and a STRING? It would be better than the treo 650.
I have been totally disappointed with the treo 650. This is barely a phone, though its another great Palm organizer. The phone portion is dificult at best to maneuver around, You cant include extensions in the phone number when dialing, you cant redial numbers from the call log unless you scroll thru the numbers using the pointer to the number you want then you have to hit detail then hit dial, that doesnt work well when driving, or just sitting in traffic. I travel across the country weekly and the reception sucks, This is not a verizon issue, my v710 and other handsets had great reception. The bluetooth setting is very limited, I tried numerous B...

Plantronics BT

Has anyone tried the Plantronics BT headsets? I have tried the Moto, Jabra and the Tekkeon. They were all pretty good to me but none satisfied the people on the other end of the call.

Thanks

TREO 650 FOR ALLTEL!!!!!

I just got off the phone with an Alltel Tier 3 Blackberry Data Technical Support person and he informed me that the Treo 650 is being released for Alltel on November 23rd. He told me that this is a for sure date. Just letting everyone know. He also said that in Mid-December there will be an Audiovoxx 6300 PDA phone with Windows OS coming out that will be EV-DO capable and that in Phoenix AZ the Alltel network will be totally EV-DO by March '06

New Treo 650 (CDMA) Owner Needs Advice

I just received my new Treo 650 CDMA phone from Sprint. I own the Sanyo MM-5600 phone, which has to be sent back to Sprint as part of my warranty agreement because my 5600 is defective to the point that the retail stores tech dept can't fix it. I purchased the 5600 on April 1st and now having recently found out that this $449.00 phone is being discontinued. 😡
Anyway, i have read alot of reviews about the Treo 650 on another site where people have complained about doing resets on the phone and that versamail has given them problems and realplayer has caused problems also. 😳 First, after I activate the Treo 650, what software, if any, that came with the phone, should i steer clear of? One of the most important things I want to be ab...

treo 650 vs blackberry

hi all. I just got a treo 650 so I can get email on the road. yesterday I couldn't get email or web though. in rural maryland. here are my questions: 1. would I have any wider email coverage if I were using a bb instead of a treo, or are they both dependant on the eaxct same network? 2. how does verizon's data coverage compare to other carriers? I love me VZW voice coverage, but is data the best? I don't really want to pay to get out of my service contract but i'd like to know how vzw compares. thanks...

Is Butler stable and compatible???

I'm using a Treo 650 on VZW. I use VersaMail and MergicVPN...no other 3rd party apps. The damn thing is as stable and dependable as I could ever wish for.

Butler, however, adds a few nice features that I'd like to have. I've heard about all the issues that some 3rd party apps cause, so I'm reluctant to get it.

Does anyone have any experience with it??? Good or bad.

Much appreciated.
