Siemens SX66 / MDA III / PDA2K (HTC Blue Angel)

Can this phone sync with Outlook (email/calendar/contacts), within a corporate environment, without server software? If so, how?

I bought the sx66 1 week ago. Am generally pleased with the phone,(bluetooth connections a little shakey). Can return phone within 30 days to Cingular. Should I? When the updates are done on the recalled(?) phones will I be able, through a download, to upgrade mine if I keep it? If I return it which phone to choose. Cingular is "coming" out with the Treo 650 but right now has only the Treo 600.

Hey guys I noticed one of the posts about the phone not being offered anymore for Cingular. I was supposed to get this phone in 2 days so this is very disappointing to me. I went ahead and e-mailed our Methods and Procedures Dept. and they should get back to me tomorrow. I asked them why it was pulled from our site as well as when will it will be back on sale. One of you guys posted saying that you spoke to Cingular and they said it would be available jan/feb. Unfortunately I can't confirm that at this time cause me being a cust. Service rep. they didn't e-mail us with any notice about it and there isn't any news on any of our company information sites (we use something call CSP) that holds useful information to solve customers issues and al...

good news....i finally got in contact with a siemens corp. i spoke with a gentleman who works with the sx66 engineer..he said they are working on a patch to fix it, and it will be avaible soon, he has my email address and i have his, i will keep you posted when he as emailed me more information with something new...also he told me that the sony headsets have been tested and they the most compatiable ones to work with the sx66. thatz all i got for now...ill keep you posted

I just looked at the Cingular website and the sx66 is not listed with their phones anymore. Maybe I missed it somehow, but I didn't see it. I am going to check with my Cingular rep who uses one too and 😲 see if he knows what's up.

actually wat i heard is that the new version of windows is gonna have a new bluetooth stack with it...if anyone know more about this please post it..thankz

Hey, ceoshawn786 when your done testing make a thread about the ones that work (with original OS and the PATCHED ONE) with links to sites to buy them. Its a little work but will save needless posts. Atlest i think so. Your like Mr. SX66....lol.

could i then use that card like a thumb drive? saving stuff on it? Like word doc's, songs(MP3), programs, etc. and then swap it allover the place. like from my computer to the SX66 and from any of those devices to camera(i know camera will only show pics) Thanks ...

Hey guys. I have been having problems with my phone when using the headphones that plug into the headset jack on the top of the phone. The audio comes in and out when I use the headset to listen to MP3's or movies. When I am making phone calls the headset will also give a high pitch screeching noise on my end and on the receiving callers end. It also seems to be positional. If I rotate the headphone plug that goes into the top of the phone the audio will turn up then disappear. Does anyone else have problems using the headset that comes with the phone?

Recenctly purchased the SX 66. Trying to retreive email in "My Yahoo" receieved a message "JavaScript Disabled". There is a tutorial on how to enable the JavaScript for Internet Explorer through tools,options,advanced.... However this can't be done on the small Windows Mobile Internet Explorer progrm (I think). Can someone help me?

Well, im in testing of a new rom that works for cingular fone, a hell lot better then cingular rom, what does rom stand for u ask ?
well it is the "system os"...rite now i know there are only two cingular pda with it, which are mine and my friend doug who set me up with it....he did the programming for it. which i have to say he did a fabolous job on. ill keep you posted, again if anyone needz help. just email me at ceoshawn786@yahoo.com

xcalibyur42 stated in their review of the PDA2K on Dec. 6 "Voice dialing works with MS Voice Command. Voice dialing from BT Headset works also."
Does anyone know how to get this to work? I've got the 5 day demo of MS Voice but it doesn't appear to support BT headsets...

I am curious , I know that the SX66 is unlocked so I will attempt to use it for TMobile. My question is when I sign up for the data plan is there a way to configure the SX66 to work with Tmobile service....?

What comes with this phone out of the box? And i've looked on the web fr about 2 hours now and can't find any accesories. (Besides whats on cingular.com) Can anyone point me to a good site to find cases, car chargers, SD cards, and a docking station. This is my first PDA and i want to get all the extras.

So many people are having problems with bluetooth on this phone. Has anyone determined the best headset on the market for this phone?

I just got this phone yesterday and so for I like it a lot. The PDA is a lot quicker that the IPAQ 3955 it replaces. The phone reception is better than with my T62u.
I picked it up in a Cingular store in CT on the Post road in Milford.

A question to all the gurus out there... Is there a way to set different ringer sounds for different people in the contact list? How do you do this?
Is there a way to set the ringer sound to be random?
This is my first phone that can use .mid files as ringers, so I copies about 50 of them into the ringer directory on the phone. I can set the ringer to be any of them, but I haven't been able to figure out how to set it for specific numbers.

Now that my bluetooth is working, i was using the m2500, but im not to fond of it, if you guyz could tell me how u feel about ur headset, please let me know. thanks
