I just looked at the Cingular website and the sx66 is not listed with their phones anymore. Maybe I missed it somehow, but I didn't see it. I am going to check with my Cingular rep who uses one too and 😲 see if he knows what's up.

Called Cingular this morning. They said the phone was being pulled until late Jan/early Feb for update. The rep thought it was to fix the bluetooth problem.

I'm in Orlando too. Someone from Rochester said it was gone from there too.

I spoke with a Siemens rep who confirmed that their engineers are working with all entities involved to get to the bottom of the Bluetooth issue and resolve it.

It appears Cingular is going to stop promoting it until a fix is figured out. I assume if you find a store with inventory, you can still buy it.

Maybe if we're lucky, they'll relpace ours with a camera model. (no, I won't hold my breath)

I purchased this device about a week ago. Should I return it?

I have been using the Motorolla headset with the Bluetooth and it seems to work ok.

If I am on the internet with the phone and try and turn on the bluetooth, it tells me I have to do a soft reset because of some memory problem. Is that the bug that you are talking about?

Thanks for your help.

If your sx66 is working mostly OK, I would hang on to it. I have not heard of your exact memory reset problem, but it could be related.

The bug seems mostly to be with Bluetooth not pairing or dropping the connection. Some people report bad static, and different results with different headsets. The Bluetooth bug is being chased down and should be resolved.

My phone would pair up with my Moto 820, work for a while, then not be paired up anymore. Cingular exchanged it for me, and it is now 85% reliable. I tried to pair it with my friend's sx66, and his would not find it.

Let Cingular know you have some bluetooth problems and you want to wait and see what they do to fix it, and have them note your account. Keep up on these threads and ...
