Motorola MPx220
Pic quality su\rprisingly good when viewed on PC!
We all know that the pictures look like crap on our phone, but did you ever view the pictures on your computer? They look waaaay better than the phone display. I don't know why this is as I watch mpegs on my phone with stunning quality.
Could Motorola have lightened up on the camera display to save on memory?

Is there predictive text on this phone for text messaging? I read somewhere online (I think motorola's website) but I cant find any option for it on the phone.Thanks

Volume issue solved
Just a note, I beleieve you all know this or else it just worked for me but the volume issue I had with the Windows media player, that of beeing to low to hear, was solved when i went it to video player and found the volume was set low, I set it high and it caused the media player to play loud- so try adjusting your volume in you video player and it may solve your sound issues with the widows media player. Also my speaker phone is nice and loud now.
Cingular, movies, headset
HOw come i can't download games or wallpapers from medianet?
I had someone put a movie on a minisd card. Why is it that windows media player is only playing the first 8 minutes of the movie?
Does anyone have a good headset or adapter for the phone? Its kinda frustrating that the sound comes from the outside of the phone. I would like to know exactly which headset or adapter i need.

T-Zones On MPx220 - someone please
This has been going around for a while, but I still can't and answer. Has anyone set up T-Zones to work (meaning browsing and such w/ ie or opera) on their MPx220 handset? There must be someone out there who got it, or is it impossible? Its unlocked now (ofcourse) but its originally from Cingular. Anyone with info, please post. Thanks

SWEET new app i found! (pic included)
I have tons of apps on my mpx220 from alt.binaries.warez.smartphone off usenet, but this is one of the coolest I've found. It's called Pocket Controller Professional. Not sure how much it costs retail. It lets you control your smartphone through your pc, by either clicking on the virtual phone on your desktop, or you can use your keyboard (very useful when typing). There's a feature so that you can use skins too...obviously I'm using the MPx220 skin. Also, I can start calls through my computer and finish the call on my phone w/ speakerphone w/o ever actually opening the phone.

Themes and Cingular
This may have been discussed elsewhere, but I could not find it.
In modifying the great themes that dchester built, I found that the unreadVMail item gets a bogus number from the cingular system.
Does anyone know how to either modify this bogus number or make the correct number come down?
The number should be the count of voice mail messages. The information is sent via a SMS message to the phone.
Let me know if this is dumb noob question or if it should be in another area. Thanks in advance.

Where can u get themes for the Mpx220 i can't find them 😢 or atleast a decent selection or if u don't where to get them do u know how to make them i do with nokia 7610 themes but not smartphone themes 😢

finally set up activesync through bluetooth
i finally had some time to mess around w/ my bluetooth usb adapter...without ever setting this up before, it was tough, because there were so many conflicts. i finally got everything installed and it's great. I'll probably never use the usb cable again. I'd reccomend that you guys should go out and get a usb bluetooth adapter...very cool being able to sync, just being in the vicinity of a pc.

Can't access MEdia Net
For some reason, when I try and go to MEdia Net from my favorites page, I can't. It tries to connect and then I get an alert saying the page I'm looking for can't be found.
If I look at the address in favorites (by clicking MENU -> 4.Edit), it shows the address as "http://device.home" .
Can someone reply back with the address on your phone?

infinity icon on Mpx 220
I have a customer who is wondering about the infinity sign. I called motorola they were no help. Any idea on what this means? I would really like to fine out so if anyone has any idea or even where i could look tofind it please respond back to me ASAP! Thanks so much! 😁

Finally set up my phone as a modem!
cool as hell! i had no idea this thing connected at 360kbps...dial up only connects at like 45kbps. this feature woulda been really useful in high school when the friggen proxy blocked us out of any type of entertaining website.

New guy needs help
I just got my phone last week. After doing some searching I found that some people were able to watch DVDs on their phones. Now, I transfered some small video files onto my phone, but they would not play in the video player or windows media. Can someone help me out? Do I need a converter and a new player to be able to do this? Thanks in advance.

Should I get the MPX or the Audiovox 5600?
I am debating if i should get the 220 or the 5600. Since it has been discontinued(220) I would be tempted to buy only if cingular has some type of closeout price on the phone. Looks like the 5600 will be in stores within the next month. I want to go to a flip for my next phone but all reviews for the 5600 have been consistent unlike the 220. Any thoughts?

I was just wondering if this is happening to me? ... I have owned my MPx220 for about two weeks now and have had to power cycle the phone 5+ times. I even once had to remove the battery because the power button wouldn't respond after a hang! 😢
Back to my question... Is anyone experiencing such problems? Should I return the phone? But I like it so much (the features). It's the reason I went with Cingular!
