What do you all think of that? Pretty cheap, he has 10 handsets he says. That must be a sign, no?

I guess it was not intentionally left out, but this phone most likely does not have a speakerphone.
With that crucial item aside, what is the difference between this phone and the a670, assuming you are like myself and do not need the ability to send video clips

I was at the New York/Bryant Park Verizon store yesterday (Friday, June 5) and asked when the 7000 would be released. The rep said, "Anywhere from two weeks to three months."

I don't know if he was trying to push the 6000 and get rid of that, but I'm really torn between getting the 6000 or waiting for the 7000. I'm using a Kyocera 2235 and if I have to go another 2 weeks to 3 months with this POS I'm going to go nuts.

First of all if you actually go into a corporate Verizon store. You deserve what you get, misinformation, run around from a bunch of pimple faced, slack jawed, minimum wage lackeys who couldn't figure their way out of a wet paper bag with a bulldozer.

Forget about the NE2 little hint "its just a trick to get you a new 2yr contract" but you all just keep jumping over that cliff like lemmings.

Solution just find an authorized retailer, do a phone upgrade, you can sign a one year or two yr deal, you can get it two months before your origional contract end date and with an agent they need your business so you can get a good deal.

Played with the 7000 yesterday for about 1/2 hour.

Some things I saw:

The Flash blinks crazy colors which is kind of fun when the phone rings..

The voice (DAC) quality is very good.

The Camera and video capability is good

The Screen is huge and very nice.

The Reception is horrible..

In a fringe area, where our Samsung 530's work perfectly, it dropped calls like crazy.

We have seen this same issue with the 6000.. The bottom line is the LG phones with the stub antenna do not have great reception. This of course could make a Verizon Customer think the network is not good. Verizon should look very closey at these types of issues when releasing new phones.

If Reception is an issue for you, the 7000 might be on...

i juss called verizon right now around 2:30 pm and they told me somehting that might make u sad they told me that the lg vx 7000 is in testind mode and that there not 100 % sure but they think most likely it will come out AT THE END OF SUMMER OR AROUND NOVEMBER OCTOBER SOMETIME AROUND THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am so mad hopefully it comes out jun 15th like some of u people sed sorry about the news

The vox and the lg are going to be realesed on the same day?

The LG VX7000 will be launching within a week. The products will be drop shipped to the stores either this thursday or next tuesday (depending on your market).

The retail price will be 179.99 with 2 year after rebate.


The Treo 610 failed testing again. Expect another huge launch date push back.


The Audiovox 8910 is in friendly user trial. Expect this phone to launch within a few weeks.


The Audiovox 9900 is also in friendly user trials. The hold up here is the pricing structure for Video Mail. They want to see how much money they can make out of this without pissing EVERYONE off. LOL

Will verizon sell 7000a variant, and if so, will it be the same price as the the 7000

Stupid question but what is the difference between a "VGA" camera (9900 and 7000) and a "640 x 480 pixels" camera (670)?

Does the LG VX-7000 have speaker phone? I don't think it does, but I just want to make sure 😁

Just an FYI. My company's business rep, Dannielle is already carrying her 7000 handset. She won it from the COO of Verizon Wireless during an employee meeting for reciting some company initiatives or whatever sometime last week. I got to play around with it shortly-- it looks great! I just wish it was pure silver because I'm not a big fan of the color blue. Nonetheless, it's a beauty. She said the execs announced that the VX-7000 will be out shortly along with the VOX 9900.

It's in testing, but no where near a release date. I'm assuming that the accessories are the same for the LG VX 6000 that's why the stores are carrying them.
