Anyone successfully tether this phone to their laptop?

Is this a supported feature?

On my current Sprint Blackberry, there is a Sprint application that let's me tether it. The blackberry is only rev 0 or whatever speed so its only about 200K speeds.

Also, any one using a Pre with a Mac?

Thanks!

50/50 now

Before reading this review I was really hyped to get the Pre but now I'm debating if I should just keep my Blackberry and wait until Sprint come out with another Blackberry or something better than the Pre. Is it me or does it seem he's found more Con's than Pro's 😕 I can live without a video recorder even though I've been hearing that there's an update coming soon that will enable video recording. I don't know maybe its me but what do ya'll think.

A day late and a dollar short.

I have owned the 1st and 2nd generation iPhones as well as my current phone, a G1 and honestly, the pre doesn't stack up to ANY of them.

It kind of feels like every few months or so Sprint tries to unviel a new "iPhone killer" and it really is starting to get irritating. "the cell phone provider who called wolf"

The pre is a good phone. But for what it is trying to do, it just seems like too little, too late.

Deleting e-mails

I noticed that when I delete an e-mail from my inbox, it goes to the trash where I have to delete it again. Is there a way to set this up so that I don't have to delete an e-mail twice?

Pauses in a phone number

On my BB Pearl, I was able to have a contact be my work voicemail where I would have the phone dial a phone number, pause for 5 seconds, dial my extension, pause another few seconds and then dial my password. Is there a way to insert "pauses" into a phone number on the Pre? I can't figure this one out. On the BB, it looked sort of like this:

666-6666 pp 123456 p 1234 where each p (pause) was a 2.5 second delay

This Phone is Pimp

So far so good. Just got mine today will post a review as soon as I get a chance. But the phone is incredible if your thinking about getting one. Dont! Just head down to Sprint and buy it! I was on the fence early this morning but after I toyed with it for a while I knew I found a keeper till the Pro 2 drops I'll be using the new web os. Running multiple cards and this thing bearly hiccups. "The Palm Pre is Solid" 😈

If you have any issues with the phone

If you have issues with the phone go to Precentral.net, you can find answers to just about anything. They helped with ringers, battery life etc. I have no issues with my phone.

Palm car charger

When I picked my Pre up yesterday at the Sprint store, I was told that if you wanted a car charger you had to use the one made by Palm. Now, working in the electronics field I know that company's say this all the time so that you buy their products. But, I was hoping that the igo products sold mostly at Radioshack, would work with the phone. When I looked it up on their website it did not have the Pre listed. I know they make a micro usb tip but is the voltage different? Anyone know if igo will work with this phone?

OK..Lets Get it Strait

Hello all...Writing this b/c there is much confusion about this phone. I am a preferred retailer and am currently testing this phone as part of a trial program. Have only had it for a day but all i have to say is its CRACK. Im by no means a fan of any service as I think they all have their ups and downs so im gunna try and not to be biased.

Firstly i think the Iphone is one of the most innovative phones to date and any phone that has been released so far has not even approached what the iphone is capable of. That being said, the Palm Pre IS the next big phone. They have taken all of the best features of the iphone and went one step further. Everyone knows the features by now so im not going to discuss features, you guys will just ...

Did You Test These Functions?!

I have had the Palm 600, 650, & 700p, and they all have had the same problems or have the same good features. None of these were discussed in the Pre review. So maybe someone can answer these questions for me.

How does the Pre handle Call Waiting? Does the phone allow you to manage both calls with little to no confusion?

How far back does the Call Log go, for All Calls (Incoming, Outgoing, Missed)?

How do you Reset the Pre, WHEN it crashes?!

Can you Text and Surf the web, while on a phone call?

Can you do Picture Mail in the normal fashion?

Can you Send information via Bluetooth, from one cell to another?

Will past Palm applications work on the new WebOS?

Is there a Flash Player on the Pre, or some application to view...
