LG Voyager VX-10000

I am about to purchase the Voyager & I would like to know what to look for on the phone to verify that the latest firmware version 7 has been updated. I know some of the reps @ Verizon do not always know what they are talking about. Thanks in advance. John 🙂

I have been using Super for a while with no problem and have converted MPG Videos to 3g2 files and they played on my Voyager. Now for some reason Super is producing 3g2 files of my MPG as only audio. As far as I can tell, all my settings in Super are correct. Has anyone else had this problem.

well it happened again, the mobile youtube was now updated and dosent work at all with the voyager ,,ehhhh great huh more stuff that used to work that dosent on this stupid phone ,, it just says unknown address. the mobile youtube was the best thing about the voyager...can anyone buy my phone off me ill take anything i can get for it

Will the phone synchronize contacts and calendar to outlook? Also, can you set up pop email without paying verizon extra for it and without going through Verison's synch (which is horrible and flawed)?

Does anyone know if there is an av cable for the phone so as to be able to watch vcast mobile tv or whatever images you have on an external screen? I happen to have a dvd player in the car, i bought the special plug adaptor and some rca av wires at radio shack..(can connect only the left and right speakers) the vcast mobile sounds great over my stereo, but i sure wish there were some kind of video cable so i can plug that into my av in as well. It would be awesome to be able to watch vcast mobile on the 7 inch screen. This is an accessory already available for ipods.

Has anyone ever noticed this w/their voyager... for me last night i went to a website and my broswer slowed down when i was typing something in a text field/box. after it slowed down meaning when you hit each letter in, the froze for a second my phone restarted. that's the only time it's happened for me like that. could it have restarted becaseu my phone was slowing down. It was weird. I mean right now my phone is working fine... I hope this isn't something to be gettting too worried about now. thanks for any input. I do love my voyager though.

does anyone know how to get to my sounds with a shortcut? And I mean the sound clips I record myself. EVerytime I want to get to my sounds list i have to record a new clip so it will take me to all my recordings. There has to be a an easier way.

I just bought an FM transmitter to pair with my Voyager for my car stereo. It's called a Venturi Mini. I saw it on Verizon's website for $34.95 so I had to scoop it up. The next day I happen to see the price had jumped to $129.99. I was worried that I had misread the price at the time I ordered. I checked my bill when it came. Lucky for me it was $34.95. Was anyone else lucky enough to pick up this sweet gadget at a discount price?

Why is it that I can pull up pictures with no problem on Myspace, Facebook, any website etc. But if someone sent me a picture through Yahoo, AOL, or Comcast email accounts, it will not show the picture that is either embedded in the email or attached?

I was told by a Verzion rep when I bought my phone that I could put music from iTunes onto my phone. I think I would need to change the format of the song over to a MP3 file first. Has anyone done this?

Would you buy an LG Voyager off eBay? I was cruising around and found a whole bunch yesterday up for bid. Got on there just a bit ago and barely anything for bid. How safe or sketchy do you think those sellers are? Also, what is a "bad ESN". Yesterday, there were about 10 of the listings that said that. Opinions?

Can i create my own ringtones for the voyager?

I have had my voyager ever since it came out and was wondering if it was my phone that was malfunctioning or the system??? It has reset in the past when I have been on the internet, and it did that about 5 times. Now, whenever I do the animated messaging, and then go to my inbox, and am doing nothing major, it will reset, whether it is erasing a message or opening one. It is hit or miss. i called Verizon and they told me that I should take it in and have it looked at and replaced. I don't want to have to deal with re-programming all of my information back into the phone, so, opinions?? 😕

Last night one of my best friends showed me his new Voyager. Holy S**t!!! What a cool phone. I was really impressed with it. Now, I know there are a lot of folks out there that would say the iPhone is the best. However, I have to disagree for one reason only...AT&T. Period end of story. I've been a VZW guy ever since the company was created and have no problem with their service. Now, we're back. I've gone through pretty much all the topics on the forum and I've concluded that I'll get a Voyager when my contract is up in December. I've got a couple of questions for everyone. Every time when I have no bars left the voyager doesn't warn me that my battery is low and shuts off immediately. When I had my Env vx-9900 it would give me a warning sound that the battery is low and still will work for a while.
Is it normal with the voyager? Am I the only one with this problem?

I don't have a voyager but am in desperate need of a new phone. I've been a verizon customer for a years and would like to keep their service. I've been interested in the voyager since I heard it was coming out a while ago. I've been wondering if the voyager can only view a subsetted list of websites or can it access all websites on the web?

Does anyone know where I could find a designer case that would fit the Voyager? I looked at the Verizon store, they had a Dooney & Bourke, but it wasn't large enough. I called the Coach store and they only have a blackberry case (I'm wondering if that will fit). I looked at the standard cases that Verizon has and they just look cheap.

Must be someone out there that has one of these cases to fit the Voyager. Thanks for your help!

Also, does EVERYONE put the screen protectors on their phones? I am considering buying them but don't know if I really need them. I just don't want to scratch the screen up. Just how easily does it scratch? Thanks again!

Has anyone else found that you get a poorer connection with you call when you have you phone in this case? I have had several call over time that have has scratchy connections. Tonight I had one and decided to make the call again without the case and it was clear. I know that it could be just a coincidence, but wanted to see what you guys had to say.
