Switching between tasks

Well I went to my local AT&T store in Redmond WA and got me a Q9h. I also am on 30-day trial with a Q9m (VZW) and can directly compare them. The Q9h is much snappier, and seems like a more well-rounded device. I also think it looks more professional and business-minded than the Q9m.

One question though ... how do you switch between tasks? On the Q9m, if I go into Task Manager, there is a "Switch to..." option but I don't see this on the Q9h. If I have a bunch of tasks running in the background, other than killing the tasks, how do I switch between them?

Other than this minor niggle, I am loving the phone so far and highly recommend it.

Anyone else having issues with custom ringtones?

I have tried to put a file into mydevice/app data/sounds and mydevice/my docs/my ringtones as a .wma, .mp3, and .wav

I go into the sound manager and they don't show up as a ringtone....

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here....

Thanks

Justin

Still trying to get one!

I can't find a store that has any and the site is still coming soon. The last cor store I called told me AT&T doesn't have the Q. Can anyone tell me the price WITH OUT contract, and if there is a rebate?

Problems with the phone

I have the AT&T Tilt. It's a good phone but I want to get the Q9h. Can anyone who has the Q9h tell me if they have noticed any problems with it or any bugs.

Best Reception EVER!

I have been using this device for a day now and I must say that the signal strength and voice quality is the best of any device I've had on AT&T. The earpiece volume is very loud and there has been no static. I live in a 3G area but in my home all of my previous devices, included the recently returned Tilt, dropped to EDGE. I still had a good signal even with EDGE but last night my Q9 was on 3G all night.

Lag or no lag?

Hi everyone. I am thinking of doing the unthinkable. After years and years of VZW service, I am thinking of changing to AT&T. I currently have a Q9M phone on VZW but within my 30-day trial period. I really like the phone except for this gosh-darn lag.

For those of you who have the Q9 on AT&T, do you experience any lag using this phone? The Q9M has a different underlying platform than the Q9H, and I am hoping the phone is more responsive on AT&T.

Comments, anyone?

Website release date?

Any idea when this will be available on the web for those of us who don't live near the COR stores?

AT&T managed to release 3 new phones today, the LG CU515, the Samsung A737, and the Pantech Duo. All 3G phones, and still no Q9 Global!

Does the AT&T version look...clunky?

Just picked one up, because my phone just died. My wife has the VZW version, which looks a lot cooler. Keyboard is great, but this may go back.

Does anyone prefer the AT&T look? I'm pretty disappointed - the silver emphasizes the width, and together with the blue on the keys it looks cheap and clunky.

Why can't a business device have some style? Argh....

Q9h vs. BB8310

how would you compare the pro's and cons of this device versus those of the blackberry 8310. I will be getting new phones soon as I'm leaving verizon (the crippler)and have been looking at both this and the 8310. I used to have the samsung i730 w/ WM5 and have not used blackberrys OS before.

Thanks!

Can WiFi be added to the Q9h with the Spectec SDW-823 card? If so, where would I get the correct drivers for the Q9h and Windows Mobile 6?

Now that we are waiting for the Motorola, just thought I would open the discussion ... what would be better, the new Blackjack II or the soon (and hopefully soon) to be released Motorola Q9h?
