Does AT&T really sell feature-rich phones? On the Sprint level?

Okay, I'm new to this whole Cingular thing. I used their services years ago, but they have changed a lot since then. What I am seeing though, is that they claim feature-rich phones, but I don't see anything different.

Can the N75, or any AT&T phone play videos out of the storage memory or off of a card? Can it play music that does not have DRM on it? What can be viewed through their video clip store? Is it just some clips like Verizon or is there live TV and radio like Sprint?
Can you use third-party Java applications like Opera Mini? Do they have GPS?

I use Sprint, but I am trying to find out more about AT&T. 1 of my friends is getting ready to leave T-Mobile and he asked me to research other carriers for him.
I know what Sprint off...

Battery charging questions

Hi,

I recently purchased the phone and let the battery charge overnight. It worked fine the next day but died around 4:30 PM. I went back to the store and was told that the battery was bad and so they swapped the battery. I waited until the battery dropped its juice and now have it on the charger. I noticed that the battery charge indicator disappears during the charge. Is this normal? Also, the user manual doesn't state how long the battery should charge. When I checked the phone the morning after I let it charge over night, the display did not read, Charge Complete. Just curious if this phone is supposed to read this after a full charge?

Thanks!

Bluetooth

Does anyone know if Plaintronics is compatible with th N75? I am trying to pair my 330 with the N75 but the N75 does not see it. I used it on my Verizon wireless phone and the sales rep at the Cingular store assured me it would work because it's bluetooth technology.

New tip for hissing and popping!

I was on the phone with my girlfriend and I kept hearing the hissing and popping on my end of the phone. I accidentally turned the volume down to 3 and WOW, now I can hear the other person on the line. This is simply great. Apparently if the phone volume is turned all the way up during a call, you will get hissing and popping. I suggest you do the same volume fix for the speaker phone as well. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

lmao= laugh my @$$ off... think of it this way, every time you exchange your phone ATT bites the bullet... creating more cost to ATT means raising prices for its existing customers meaning that if YOU exchange your phone I pay for it

Threaded SMS fron Nokia Beta Labs Available!

Nokia Creates Threaded SMS Application

Today, 6:56 AM source: All About Symbian

Nokia made a beta program called Conversations available for download today that enables threaded SMS similar to that seen on the iPhone or Palm Treos. The application groups conversations by contact and strings them together so they can be sorted easily in the messaging application. It also adds a way for users to reply to SMS messages from the application and maintain on-going conversations easily. Two separate applications must be downloaded in order for Conversations to work, and Nokia recommends that your device is updated to the latest firmware. It will work on most S60 3rd Edition E Series and N Series devices.

JavaScript for Yahoo Mail

I cannot access my yahoo Mail from the N75 browser. The Yahoo Mail website says JavaScript has to be enabled but I do have Java/ECMA script "Enabled" in the browser settings.

Anybody else experiences the same problem? Is there a fix for it? Thank you so much for any help.

Cell broadcast! Battery!

I found that the new AT&T branded phone has cell broadcast. If you go to messaging then to settings then you will see it is quite different than the cingular branded version. I will let you know if I find anything else. But i suggest you go through warranty exchange asap because they will give you a brand new phone and all you have to return is the phone (you keep the battery and everything else) which in my opinion solves the battery issue.

Rebranded N75

I went to warranty exchange and they sent me a rebranded AT&T N75. The hinge seems to be a little better. Otherwise everything is identical. Same ram issues, low battery, and no stereo bluetooth. It does not really matter because the phone is great in my opinion.
