ok. i can help you with tis one. if the phone was with a contract then the person who owned it prob did two things. 1)called tmobile to report a lo9st phone. then 2)tmobile turned the phone off. what you can do is go to a representative in one of those stores that represent different companies and tmobile. ask them what you can do because you found this phone. they may tell you they can unlock the phone or they will buy it off you. if its with prepaid then i dont know cause i dont know about prepaid..... u may be luckier if its a prepaid cuz maybe youll be able to buy cards...

No not even voice will work correctly. The SK2 is 900/1800/1900 mhz. Cingular is 850/1800/1900.

I wouldn't trust that. Especially since they are selling the Nokia N91 for only $150, and the Nokia 6682 for only $113. Even the Treo 650 unlocked don't cost $150. Don't fall for that, just cause you hear a cheap price. Plus, that seller only has 3 posts on that forum. I would say check Ebay, and find a good price, plus make sure to buy from a seller with "Alot" of positive feedback, and not that much of negative feedback. Plus, Ebay can protect you if you don't get your product in the advertised condition that the seller indicated.

I've seen at Amazon.com for quite some time that you can get it for free with 1-year contract with T-mpbile, free after rebate I mean.

I tend to avoid this type of offer like the plague. Even if they are sending you a legitimate phone you still have a contract not just with T-Mobile but also with the people who sent you the phone, which can have a very steep fee for canceling or altering service. If you are going to use one of the sites that offer free handsets (ones that are normally in the $150 - $200 range or more) or offer to give you money back for signing up with them, make sure you read every single teeny tiny bit of legal text available, preferably at least twice to be sure you understand what you can and cannot do.

I'm inclined to think there might be one in the works only because the telesales site hasn't been listing the 2 for the last few days and generally when we start having times when a given phone is not being listed it means it's going by-by. That's just me guessing though. :wink:
