Re: sidekick vs xv-6700

The default method for Agile is to use a data connection which you can do over the WiFi when access is available. Without the data plan you will be paying per KB to send messages over the cellular data connection. You CAN have agile send using your contact list which should run off of text messaging but then you will want a huge package for that since no IM messages will count under the unlimted IN messaging on the $10 pix/txt package. Even the $20 packages with 2500 messages will only get you 83 sent/received per day. Bottom line: You want the unlimited data for this unless you are cool with only having this capability when you can get wifi access.

Yay! for T-Mobile! ;-) I agree on the point of your message, almost all of the carriers are basically the same except for one or two things which may make them "different" and better for certain people, but none are the best for everyone. (except SunCom 'cause they have everything LOL) 6037 said: Hello Verizon, I have been working as a sales rep for Cingular for 2 years now and it always seems to be "cingular vs verizon". Its understandable, we are the two biggest carriers out there. I get more Verizon ports than any other carrier just as im sure you guys get more Cingular ports than any other carrier. When people come in and ask me "who really gets better coverage cingular or verizon?" I always answer the same "well mr/mrs customer, it depends on where you are, and where you are going" Lets, as rivals, agree on a few things. 1. Our coverage is pretty much neck and neck. Independet research A may say Verizon has the best network while independent research B may say Cingular does. But lets just concede that we are both pretty much the same as far as coverage. There are places where cingular gets service and verizon doesnt just as there are places where verizon gets coverage and cingular doesnt. Like I tell my customers, it depends on your calling area. Deal? 2. Our rate plan prices are the same. I will concede that you guys offer the "IN" texting which is something that Cingular needs to jump on. Unfortunatly I dont see that much of a need for it. Our media packages are well priced and tend to be suitable for most of our customers. Other than feature packages, we are both the same. 3. Our phone lineups tend to shift, for a while Cingular was rockin with exclusives (razr, treo 650 etc...) 2006 saw verizon getting some great handsets while cingular fell behind. Honestly I think t-mobile is kicking both of our asses in the handset department though (blackberry pearl is gonne be awesome for them) 4. You get good and bad customer service reps, its like that with any company. I dont think our customer service problems stem from bad reps, i think it stems from bad policies. I have to talk to CS reps everyday and they are always respectful and nice. I hear just as many horror stories about verizon CS as I do about cingular. T-mobile, again, is wasting both of us. But I honestly think thats because t-mobile tends to give a lot of stuff away. They credit things that neither of us would, and you can basically renew your contract whenever you want (i had a friend sign a two year with t-mobile to get a razr and two months later renew it to get a sidekick). SO.....lets be friends, our companies arent as different as we would like to think are they?

We have the Hiptop/Sidekick 3 at T-Mobile... it is better than the SK2, but there are still some not-so-great things, like even though it has an MP3 player, you can't set the mp3's as ringtones... you still have to buy your ringtones from the catalog :-/ I say go for the HTC Wizard, which I think SunCom now offers... it is based on Windows Mobile, and at least here (T-Mobile) it is the same price as the SK3...
