Sprint and Palm

I am trying to get internet access to get my Palm Tungsten T2 through a Sprint phone. I checked the Palm web site and they do not support Sprint as a carrier. I need a Bluetooth enabled phone to act as a modem. Anyone have any ideas to help. I do not want to purchase onw of Sprint's Palm phones. I just need their network.

Anyone know...

... how to connect the Sprint Lotus phone with a MAC (phone as a modem)?

I know that I have to download a driver and I've been to cnet, but I wanted to know if anyone has already had experience using their Sprint phone as a modem with their Mac running OS X.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Wireless reception

I live in a fringe area where my E815 only gets 3 bars on a good day. Do you think a wireless card will work in my computer? My landline stinks. I cannot get DSL out here and I only connect at 26.4 at best. Thanks

Tethering

I currently have PDA personal / Tilt. I am moving short term (a few months). Is it a good option to subscribe to PDA personal + Tethering to use for my laptop? The location is in a 3G area.

Wireless Data Security

The BlackBerry Enterprise Solution offers two transport encryption options, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Triple Data Encryption Standard (Triple DES)*, for all data transmitted between BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and BlackBerry smartphones. Private encryption keys are generated in a secure, two-way authenticated environment and are assigned to each BlackBerry smartphone user. Each secret key is stored only in the user's secure enterprise account and on their BlackBerry smartphone and can be regenerated wirelessly by the user.

WIFI PHONE OR AT&T DATA PLAN ??????????????????

hey I will renew my contract with ATT. I want a pda/smartphone but I dont wanna pay for the dat plan $30/month.

I have internet at home, at work and it would be nice to have on my cell too but that will cost me $30x24months=$720 in addition to my phone plan.

I wanna get a good phone that has WIFI/WLAN (i think its the same) so that I can use internet when I find hotspots for free !!!

Do you think what I think is smart ?

I like Nokia's. Which phone should I get ? N96,N95, N810, N81 or whatever.... which one should I get ? 🙄

Newbie Needs Help Picking Phone/Provider:IPhone 3G, Samsung Behold T919, Sony Ericsson W760, etc.???

It's been 2 years since I've bought a cell phone {a Razor}, and since our contract with Verizon is over and we are not happy with them. We are looking for new phones and provider.

A lot has changed in 2 years and I'm overwhelmed trying to figure out what to get.
I'm not a very technical person. I'd like quality camera, GPS nav., the ability to surf the web and send the occasional email, and playing music would be nice too.
I've looked up Apple iPhone 3G, Samsung Behold T919 and Sony Ericsson W760 online. I've briefly played with the Behold and the W760 in stores. Behold seemed a bit easier to use than the W760, but I don't don't know if it was a fair comparison, because I received a lot of assistance with the Behold at the TMobile...

Now what?

So I picked up an Aircard from ATT for my laptop and for the first 30 days it worked great.
Now something has changed. Signal has gone down and now that we're going into winter, get this if there's a downpour outside I loose the 3G connection.
Alright the ATT connection manager doesn't say I loose 3G put the Internet starts to hang up.
Basically anyone know how to get out of the 2 year contract?
I really don't want to pay a $200 ETF.

Can a Motorola E815 act as Bluetooth Modem for a laptop?

My Motorola 710 is out of service (my wife placed it in the washing machine with my golf shorts!). Verizon wants to replace it with a refurbished 710. I was thinking on the newer Motorola E815. The best Bluetooth feature on the Moto 710 is that I got it to work as a Modem on my Mac Powerbook G4 laptop. Will the Moto E815 work as Bluetooth modem also? It seems from my research that the E815 only works with Bluetooth headsets. If this is true-can I hack the phone to sync up Bluetooth via my laptop?

Also, does anyone know if the E815 can also sync with with my Mac Address book? The Moto 710 does this and it's a great feature. Thanks for your help!

LTE trial reached 170mbps! ! ! !

And yet here we are September 2008, and we can barely pull in 2mbps. Heck, give me a nice steady speed of above 5mbps and I'd be happy.

Check it out over at Engadget:

"Web Timed Out" connection error.

I have seen a few threads about web connection timeout errors on Nokia phones. I have experienced this myself on my N95-3.
After some recent experimentation I feel the problem lies within the Nokia browser.
I ran 2 different browsers in both 3G and 2G service, the Nokia browser, and Skyfire beta. The Nokia browser will after one or two minutes of non-hyperlink activity will produce the "web timeout error" once you do click a link again. It is my belief that the Nokia browser software shuts down the phones data connection after a period of inactivity most likely to conserve battery power. The Skyfire browser never dropped the connection which I think is due to the fact that when you are on Skyfire you are actually logged on to their dedicat...

Pantech UM175 Air Card with Belkin router ...

I'm trying to set up a small network in my home using my broadband aircard with Verizon and a Belkin G aircard. I have successfully gotten both my T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve and my Nintendo Wii to hook up to the router, but I seem to be having trouble getting the router hooked up to use the same network as the internet aircard. I am using Windows Vista. If anyone knows what settings I need and the step by step instructions on getting the router hooked up through the aircard's broadband connection, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I have heard of a few people who have done this, so I know it can be done, but I've never done it before. Thanks in advance! 😉
