Clear's now in Las Vegas! ! !

They claim 4mbps, but advertised speeds & end user/average speeds are often 2 very different things.

Unfortunatley my AT&T bill is way, way too high. I don't have room in my budget. I have 3 lines on my acct, 2 with data, 7pm nights on a family plan. So unfortunatley I can't afford to get Clear's service.

Basic phone - Verizon Tethering?

What would be the right phone to use for Verizon tethering? Is this what they refer to as "Mobile Broadband Capable?

I need to tether this summer.

Was looking at the LG VX-8360, it was not listed as "Mobile Broadband Capable".

Any other recommended phones? Need basic and small.

Laptop connect plans...

Do most data connect plans for laptops have the 5GB limit?

I was told this is industry standard but I have been informed by family that they do have an unlimited plan...I want one too....

Also, does anyone know the average overage charges per KB/MB for these 5GB plans?

Samsung Impression Browser?

Does anyone own/use a Samsung Impression?

I have to say these things are great. The AMOLED screen is beautiful and I love the feel of the touch hardware. Unfortunately the software is sub-par. Even though this thing could easily display the full web site in an uncompressed format, someone (either Samsung or At&t maybe both) decided to dumb down it's full potential by giving it only media net for a browser.

My question is does anyone know how to change the browser on the Samsung impression?

Does anyone know about any other software hacks for this device?

Web Access, It's not all the same

I'm just curious if anyone else agrees with me that there should be a standard applied to phones that supposedly have web access.

It's pretty clear that a boost I290 is not going to have the same flexibility as that of any blackberry or IPhone on the market.

For those who study phones I'm sure you know what smart phones have what access, but to the novices etc. There should be a clear category posted as to just exactly what access a phone has.

Why does a Nokia 7510 download .EXE files as .EXT files?

I've noticed that sometimes it downloads .EXE files the right way, but most of the time it downloads them as .EXT files. And when I transfer those files from my memory care to my PC, when I rename them from .EXT to .EXE, the format of the file is already screwed up and won't work.... is there any way of correcting this?

Cannot Push via Bluetooth on Kyocera Strobe (K612B)

My Kyocera's screen started going haywire so I called my MetroPCS insurance company and got a replacement: a Motorola SLVR L7. Now I need to get my old pics off the Kyocera and onto the SLVR. I went to the MetroPCS office and they told me to contact Asurion, the insurance company and see if they couldn't reactivate that phone temporarily so I can email myself my pics. When I called Asurion, they agreed to do this, but the reactivation never took place. So today I called back and they told me to take my phone into a MetroPCS office - I explained I already had and that they had sent me back to Asurion. She said that she would be unable to re-activate that phone, so if I had Bluetooth on both phones (which I do), I could link them and push my p...
