Chat Room.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but don't you guys think that it'd be cool if we had chat room for each carrier too? ๐Ÿ˜ Rich, what do you think? Have you thought about this? is it possible? ๐Ÿ˜•

View,. Text Size., Largest DOES NOT work on your site

๐Ÿคจ Your Web coders superceeded a standard IE browser function with sepcific font designations. Your site is probably not ADA compliant. I cannot shop her successfully. I have money in my hands, but you turned off the lights in your store.

Phonesccop.com and the 8125

Everytime I go to www.phonescoop.com on my HTC wizard (cingular 8125), I get the wap site and not the full HTML site. I see in the T-Mobile MDA article that it pulls the HTML site? How do I do this with my 8125. I never had a problem with accessing the site with my Treo650, so why is this happening on the 8125? Thanks

SUGGESTION for Rich and Eric

I wanted to suggest adding a "Push-to-talk" filter option when listing the phones available for a particular carrier.

Thank you!

Site Update

I updated the site recently. The Phone Finder and News section both received mini-overhauls. Nothing dramatic - no huge new functionality - just working over the UI to make a bit more sense, I hope.

There's not much to say about the new News section. We cut three main pages down to two. It's all a little more efficient and less redundant now.

The changes to the Phone Finder are a bit more significant.

It looks a bit cleaner and prettier.

The old tab options have been replaced with a new set of modes: Simple and Weighted.

The new default "Simple" mode offers a more user-friendly interface for the most typical kind of search: "I want a phone with X, Y, and Z."

The "Weighted" mode offers the more advanced old-style interface f...

What the Hell!

Someone told me about this website- they told me I could find out about upcoming products and read other people grievances with their wireless company. I am looking at switching carriers and was trying to determine outside of plans and phones listed on their website what have been people experiences in terms of customer service and how the company valued their customer and wanted to retain their business. Instead I got replies like "hooker", "flash them" and "head". I am a grown professional woman and don't have time for games. What kind of site is this???Someone accused me of spamming. I post my question to 2 rooms- didn't contact anybody personally so how am I spamming. I guess anybody could create a profile on a website that I was u...

NavBar Ads - Are they intended?

Hi,

I wanted to inquire if ads appearing on the left nav bar were intentional?

You can find an example here:

I was just curious because I had not noticed them before today.

New criteria for bullet points in forums?

Should the counter start over or a different method of measurement be used?

The lounge dwarfs the other threads even though it is probably the least important or actually full of any real substance. The same goes for the carriers, the cingular and verizon threads throw it way out of balance so almost every other thread becomes half a point... I have just wondered about that since I first signed up.

Forum Suggestion

There are many intelligent people in the Lounge, and occasionally Shop Talk and Canadian Forums, that like to talk about the current political environment, as well as religion, history, and moral opinions. There are still other people that use this site to talk aboutlight and trivial matters, often as their only outlet during work. Most people like both, and there's rarely issues, as people like to have thoughtful conversations about current events.

However, just like the issues being discussed, occasionally the posts in these forums are filled with violent rhetoric and unnecessary insults. While some people use these just to argue, others will say things to intentionally incite other parties. I'm not saying that I have a problem with...

Topic Question

Rich & Eric,

I noticed that the recent lounge threads dealing with illegal immigration/aliens were pulled, I would imagine because the threads went from discussion& debate of ideas to personal attacks. Is the topic of illegal immigration/aliens itself off-limits? It's your site, you guys do the heavy lifting so I'm not attacking or anything, just want to know...
