Thanks

For the holiday list. It's cool to know about all the phones.

I think maybe you should include some suggestions for older people. Phones with big buttons and simple to use.

Yes we are dragging our parents and grand parents into the cell phone generation!

questions for Microsoft?

So I'm here at a Microsoft event. Unfortunately, there's mot much public info they've given us that I can report. ☚ī¸

With that said, are there any questions you guys have for the Microsoft mobile people? Obviously there's not much I can say about anything unannounced, but other than that?

This is an example of someone suggesting something, and then it gets done. Just like that it's done. Thanks Rich you say stuff then do it.

Who's Here and PMs

Rich, I know this has been mentioned before, but I thought I'd retouch on it. I think a Who's Here feature would be handy for the forums. Visitors looking for an answer could then see if anyone is actually viewing the thread they are looking for answers on. It would also be nice if you could PM someone labeled as here from a Who's Here bar. Of course, if that were the case then it would stink to have to give up your email address. At which point it would make more sense to have an internal pm function. This would cause more people to sign up as well to the site. I'm not sure if membership is your goal. Just some thoughts that you'll likely squish do to the work and server load involved. 🙂

Can I pm myself?

I just thought I might be able to do this so I can send my home mail the links about the stuff I want to see when I get home.

Getting weird forum violation notices

I've been getting emails saying I'm in violation, but I don't know what for. I got one that said I was in violation and the reason said " "
I don't know if this was a mistake or what. I'm pretty confused by this. Also getting a violation for giving a name "dead eye dick" that's a phrase for marksmanship. I got a violation for this as well, I suggest if I'm not allowed to use the name dick then it shouldn't be allowed to be posted on the site. Other "bad words" are blocked out with stars ****** like that.
I had another violation that had my screen name as the subject, then it said "shut up" I don't see how that was a personal attack. It was directed at me and I don't remember reporting that I told myself to shut up. Who knows maybe I was d...

Google ads

Ok I get the amazon ads, the sprint ads, the cell signal booster ads as they are all cell phone related. But what in the heck do all the papa john's pizza ads today have to do with cell phones?😛

Throwing this thought out there

I know you guys are super busy and are "cleaning up" the forums. I'd like to thank you for protecting us from "ray" type people (don't know him/her or whole story other than gave out personal info on here)

I've noticed that a lot of threads are getting deleted and was wondering if an IM would solve this problem?... well it wouldn't solve the violation of TOU but it would ease up your job of making sure no bad words are being said. IM would delete everything and... I don't understand how it all works but I know others have asked for it before and I was just wondering about it. It would be ideal if we all just got along and you didn't have to "babysit" us.
Thanks ya'll

Hey Rich: MS Sync Ads

I don't know if it's doing it to anybody else, but the ads for MS Sync really, really bog down my cpu.

I actually refresh the page until I don't get a Sync ad before replying to a post because of the lag it causes!

The ad looks like it's a 3D rendering with the robot flying around, I don't know if it really is, but it might be worth a look.

Thanks for the great site!

Sprint/Nextel V950 Battery life glitches

The phone is comfortable, and works well when the battery is not dieing. I have noticed as have many that the battery life is terrible. I have noticed that the internal and external back-light times seem to change by them selves. More so if you do not push the left key under done when you make your choice. Less light time on helps a lot. Secondly it seems that if you plug your charger in early at night for example, then the phone gets fully charged in the night, the screen lights stay on and then run the newly charged battery down. This I have noticed with this new one.The issue seems to happen when the phone recognizes it is fully charged, then after that the lights then work off that charged battery and take away from your next days use. Ma...

No News on Project Dark/Black?

Rich or Eric,

I don't know if this is in the right forum or not, so I'll ask.

I'm just curious to know why you guys haven't posted any info about T-Mobile's Project Dark/Black. Some info has leak on BGR but TmoNews decided not to post that info. Was it because the info is pure speculation or journalistic ethics?
