Digital (TDMA) National Plan

Why on their map does it show some of their service area as not being covered by mobile to mobile? Is this TDMA roaming? The orange outline doesn't always cover the orange service area.

V60 Color Released

I know there was somebody else on here that was looking for it. And it's only $50 dollars on the AT&T website with an instant rebate.
Altough the picture they show is of the old non-color model.

Attn: ATTW_H8TR and Pumpkin

I am currently Attws customer, who uses ATTWS TDMA system. For the most part I like it.
I guess in a way I lucky! My contract expired recently, and I looking forward to all the carriers fighting over my business.
The "strongest carrier(s)" will survive, and the weakest, will either die or take a huge lost.
Everyone who has been taken advantage from their carrier will love the "fight" that all the carriers will be having in the next few months.
There three to many carriers now.
Let the "games" begin! 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎

I don't who you are, but I had wish you had been on sooner.
Whenever I call customer at night I always get a rep that located in Canada or somebody from customer service who hasn't got a clue of what is going on in ATTWS.
My guestion to you is. I live in Gainesville, fl, zipcod 32614. Can you tell me if I can use any other plan than the local plan that I'm stuck on?
For once in for all, can I go on any other plan than local? If not, have someone fix and correct your website.
Thank you for reading this.
By the way my contract expired three months ago. If I can't use any other plan I'll have to change carriers.

Choose Phone Number

I have tried about 6 times to get a phone number in my area with repeating numbers or sequences, like 202-0202 or 808-8008, etc. I am always told that these numbers are very hard to get, and that I should try back in a couple weeks to try again.

When I was with Sprint, you can get a list of numbers on the screen when you activate your phone, and if you're not happy with the numbers they've given you, you can get the next set of numbers.

ALL I WANT IS A COOL PHONE NUMBER! Anyone have a suggestion on how I can get something cool, and easy to remember without going through this headache every 2 weeks?

I just got back from a book store that I frequent. I came across a magazine, called Forbes Tech, issue date on the cover was Nov. 10(11).
It has an interesting article about, Verizon, T-Mobile, Cingular, Nextel, of cause ATTWS.
One of the things it said, that ATTWS should buy out Cingular if it wants to compete ans stay afloat with Verizon.
Second, ATTWS has the largest defection rate among the carriers (29 million).
I didn't buy the magazine, but I think it did open my eyes to the "woes" ATTWS is suffering from. So if you guys are "truly happy" working for ATTWS, more power to you, if not, see if Verizon has any openings, that is what I'd do, if I were in the wireless biz.
The nexr time you pass a news sta...

ATTWS: Reps.

Has anyone heard anything else about an Attws merger with T-Mobile? Or on the other side of the coin, Verizon merger or take over of Alltell?
Most likely the first place we will hear about is in the New York Times, or from the Wall Sreet stock reports.
When you have to many mergers, and competition goes away, prices go up, don't you agree.
Probably in the next six months a lot of "things" will occur where if they don't merge, they sink.
Competition I think makes most companies try harder, wouldn't you agree.

Okay let me clear this up. On 8/11/02 I went down to the Ocala, Fl store to get ATTWS service here in Gainesville, Fl. (area code 32614) I have been using their TDMA system here and I love it!
I wasn't told until after I signed a contract, that I couldn't change plans if I needed to. I live in an extended area that I can only use their "local plan".
The reason I wanted to beable to change plans is that my Dad lives in BayShore, Long Island, New York (zipcode 11706)
I know for a fact that my phone works in both zipcodes.
The employees of ATTWS are great, they have always been polite and understanding.
Because of their policy if something should happen to my Dad in New York, I will not beable to use my phonne without p...

my future predictions..lnp..attws..wireless in general..and ccr jobs

It seems to me that attws is not meeting or exceeding many of the latest lnp defense offers of some other carriers. I think it is on purpose. attws has clearly declared it will not make loss leader offers to increase its customer base. attws is the most sucessfull carrier in the US not by the number of subscribers it has but because it is profitable. Attws proclaimed to wallstreet its shrinking customer base as a positve developement as it was loosing mostly unprofitable subscribers. The future of wireless is getting people to dump their landlines and get multiple wireless lines. Attws has no landlines most of the other big carriers do. That is what attws is putting its money on. Also it is putting its money on non subscription non contract ...

AT&T and Treo 600

Does anyone know when AT&T is supposed to have the Treo 600 GSM available? I am aware that Sprint has had it available for 2 weeks or so but GSM is the only service that works inside of my office building. Any other inside information regarding "usage packages", rebates and anything else would be helpful. Thanks

AT&T TDMA vs GSM

I have been an AT&T customer for about 5 years. The offered much better coverage and service than Sprint. About a year ago I tried T-Mobile, that was a disaster that I won't repeat. Poor phones, poor service and poor customer treatment.

To my problem. For about the last six months my service seems to have deteriorated badly. Calls that echo in my ear-piece, calls that don't go through, a lot of static and interference. Dropped calls and on and on.

I have asked customer service, they claim there are no system problems. I have asked if more attention is being given to the new GSM, they assure me not, but can't answer why the call quality is dropping off

Customer service has always been willing to listen and try to understand, but...

Then and Now

When ATTWS came to town in August 2000, I was the third guy to sign up. The other choices were a company (which I had) that is now part of Alltel, one that is now part of Verizon, and Sprint. ATTWS beat them hands down. Coverage plans were fantastic. I took Regional Advantage, always had a signal, never had roaming in my area. New phones were always coming out with new features. PocketNet was around the corner. Fixed wireless on the horizon. Couldn't wait!

Fixed wireless is history. Likewise PocketNet. Likewise Regional Advantage -- can't even add minutes. And lately the TDMA network seems to be having problems. ATTWS blames my phone, but the forums out there indicate it's not just me. Still I'm OK with upgrading. To what? ...

Where are my "Fav" ATTWS reps? Miss talking to you!

You know since they changed this set up, there aren't as many people on here as there once were. Where did everybody go?
Is everybody happy now? Or did everybody double or triple their "prozac" dosage?
I'm just kidding all. I don't miss the yelling and the "bitching".
But I do miss the "Tech Talk".
Can anybody help that poor guy "Chapperal"?
I think ATTWS is driving him nuts wouldn't you agree? 🙄
