Question Regarding Roaming

Question for you folks. I recently took delivery of an LG VX6000...and I was wondering how to set a system spec. Under the System tab, it says you can set the network to "Home", "A" or "B". I'm assuming "Home" refers to just the Verizon network? At least that's how my Sprint phone worked...where it would only work on the Sprint network. Let me know, folks!

Anything about the SE T608/606

I remember reading about these phones a LONG time ago and then it died. It looks as if the T608 is back, but I'm wondering if anything about either of these is coming to Verizon?

Thanks.

Verizon Phone with best low end reception

I am going to be switching to Verizon in a short while and am researching which phone will get the best reception in areas with bad reception. I currently have Sprint with a Sanyo SCP4900 and get great reception in bad areas. Any suggestions??

Thanks

CDMA or GSM, HELP!

Hi All!
I am a current Verizon user in the S.F.-Bay area, and have excellent service with them for 4 years now. But I have been intrigued for a long time with GSM service and the phones connected with it. I need peoples input and opinions here. Is GSM better than CDMA and why? I heard the voice quality is better, but is it by much? A year or two ago, I heard GSM was terrible here(as far as signal strength, dropped calls, etc)...has it improved? From what I've seen on the maps and from what co-workers and friends say, it is yes. Now if I decide to go GSM's way, I've decided to go with either AT&T or Cingular, because they have the upcoming 850 frequency besides the already existing 1900. T-Mobile only has 1900 from what I've seen.
So betwe...

Replacement Policy

My ST finally gave up the ghost. What's Verizon's replacement policy...the ST is obviously out of production and they don't carry referbs anymore. What phone will they likely try to fix me up with? I have insurance, if that matters. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone tell me why the 3589i has a sim card slot?

Is there any reason besides data storage? is it ready to be used world wide with pre pay cards from other countries?

thanks

Sanyo SCP-5500 / VM4500

This is the phone I've been waiting for, it has every feature I desire, Camera, PTT, speakerphone, high speed data, now all I need to know is if/when VzW will support.

Have you seen the reviews on the forum?https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/user_ reviews.php?id=400

Does anyone know if this is on the horizon for verizon? I tried to find a MIM link for it, I had no luck at guessing URL, since VzW doesn't offer any/many Sanyo phones.

Why does VzW keep screwing around, they should work on bringing the best technology to us as quickly as possible. Sprint always has the latest / greatest available, VzW is always slow bringing new phones to market ...

a530 non-Gold Phone seen!!

I stopped by a Verizon wireless store today and saw that they had two different kinds of Samsung a530 phones, some Gold and others silver-ish blue on display!! Anyone know what the deal is with these (What's the difference)? I had read that only Gold was available and the color was not changeable yet there it was.

New Phones by Xmas?

Ok I know people always ask which phones are coming out and no one has a definate date but to rephrase the question: I have the oppurtunity to get a new phone this Saturday, should I go ahead and get the Vx6000 or would something better be available by Xmas? I hear of the LG vx4500, a610, a670 a new camera phone from Audiovox and Motorola. Is there an especially good chance of seeing one of these be released by or shortly after xmas and be a better choice than the vx6000 OR should I just go ahead and by the LG?

A camera in my phone is not of the upmost importance but I do want to know if anything better than VZNs current choices will be availble for xmas. I actually will be heading to a VZN store tomorow but I want to know what YOUR thoug...
