In the market for a new phone!!!

I currently have the iPhone 5 but it is becoming annoying with its constant freezing. I am looking into either the note 2 or s4.

Which of the two would be more reliable for the long haul?

Opinions please!!

Thank you. 😁

No coverage at work

Question...if you get zero coverage at your place of work because verizon does not offer service in the area and you do not have coverage for a portion of the commute, will they allow you out of contract? I have a year left and hate to leave, been happy, but doesn't due me much good since I don't have covereage really when i would need it.

thanks

My bad experience with Verizon

Yes, I had a bad experience years ago with Verizon. Everything was bad and nothing was good. Don't go with this company because you'll regret it. They lie to everyone as well. My bill was always screwed up and my wireless service was terrible.

You should take my advice because my opinion as an anonymous poster outweighs anything Consumer Reports or JD Power says. If you don't believe me, I can provide some web links to internet sites that have been in business less than 10 years. These also outweigh consumer advocacy groups that have been in business for over half a century.

My new carrier is the best. By the way, if you dare respond negatively toward me or disagree, YOU are the fanboi and troll.

Verizon Took of my unlimited data but is fixing it.

They took off my unlimited data and they said that we made the change and acted like I was crazy they even said I had been on the new plan for a year and I told them they were crazy I have the bills so after a day of being called crazy I got a rep who had a brain and they are submitting a ticket to get it fixed and she admitted it was done in error so please don't give up everyone when Verizon tries to bend you over!!

ne2, cotracts, and alternate upgrades

No more NE2 credits...they took away the ones people have been holding onto.

Now, we can't use non-phone alternate upgrades. So if a customer has a line upgrade on an hpc but wants to use it to get a new phone....nope, cant do it.

Also, whats the deal with verizon going the t-mobile way and getting right of contracts and subsidized pricing?

anyone have insight or information on this stuff??

Goodbye 20 month upgrades

Coming soon to a Verizon near you, and even for existing customers already under contract who now show a 20-month upgrade date. 24 months is the new 20 months.

Another reason to avoid subsidized equipment.

DID YOU CELLULAR GET BOUGHT OUT

DID YOU CELLULAR GET BOUGHT OUT
I was looking on the US CELLULAR web page, Under Investor Relations. The are documents that look like an agreement to sell to Verizon. Does anyone have information about this. Do I need to find a NEW JOB.
This is part of the document.

Question 2:
Since the Company did not dispose of its investments in the Partnerships, what happened to cause the change in
accounting (i.e., the Deconsolidation)?
Answer 2:
The Company entered into an agreement with the minority partner (Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon
Wireless,(“Verizon Wireless”)) in the Partnerships on April 3, 2013. In addition to being the minority partner in both of
the Partner...

Droid DNA Case w/Kickstand

Having trouble finding a case for the DNA with a kickstand. Only one I've found is Seidio's active. Which I'm not interested in. I think it adds too much girth to the phone.

Anyone know of other cases with a kickstand?

Kyocera Duraxt

I am trying to change my carrier from US Cellular to Wal-Mart Straight Talk which is carried by Verizon. I would like to purchase a Kyocera Duraxt but can't seem to find one that uses Verizon. Non-existant? Also, I have been with US Cell for about 6 years without any problems but lately there have been many plus the straight talk plan is about 15 bucks a month less with more time and text. Thanks, Tom

Interesting news came on the wire

There have been rumors that Verizon and AT&T are going to be taking over Vodafone. All shares are up when it comes to this potential rumor. Interesting.

If anyone wants to keep Unlimited Data w/o paying the outrageous $600+, here's a decent choice. . .

HTC Rezound full-retail for $399 on Amazon Wireless, so if anyone wants to get a new smartphone w/o paying the ginormous price of $600+, this would be a decent choice. Thought it would be worth sharing.

Any idea when Verizon is going to start deploying LTE-A?

All the dealings with the FCC over the 1700 AWS from the cable companies is over, sooo I'm wondering when Verizon is going to start deploying 700/1700 LTE-A??? Stuff I've been reading about carrier aggregation is also very exciting!

I'm hoping Q4 of this year, or Q1 of 2014.

Has Verizon mentioned at all their timeline to
start implementing 700/1700 LTE-A?

Want to upgrade but still have unltd data

On average I use around 4GB a month and that is with absolutely little to no wifi use (4G is often faster). I somehow also used 6MB this morning at 5am while I was sleeping 😲 So between the wifi and somewhat monitoring my data use I could easily drop my data usage.

My current plan is 900 minutes ($79.99) with unltd data/text ($29.99) with insurance and taxes my monthly bill is roughly $122.

So Im thinking of just signing a new contract and doing the 4GB plan ($40 + $70) which means I would pretty much be spending the same amount as before.

Any input on my situation would be appreciated, thanks!

Call/Message blocking

VZW allows you to block phone numbers from your MyVerizon page.
Will this also block iMessages from a number you want to block? 😕
