network extender

if i utilize another person or companies network extender, does it record or track conversations or internet history? With Big Brother I never doubt someone is watching...just not sure how these work or what not.

Um, no need for a network extender for THAT. I'd be more worried about the phone itself!

Verizon tracks all Network Extender traffic at the same level that direct cell-site traffic is monitored, even though the data passes over the local ISP before it get's to VZW's backbone.

As for the owner of the Network Extender having some way to track your traffic, I doubt it. I don't know how Verizon is encrypting the data between the Network Extender and the central switch, but I don't think the local ISP can read the details of that connection. Just like putting your credit card in on a website.
