Ok so now the rumor is that Cellular One Dobson will be merging with the new AT&T Wireless in Q3 of 2007(currently Cingular but switching to AT&T beginning in early 2007 due to the buyout of Bellsouth)

Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about this.

So there hasn't ben a posting on this forum in awhile so i thought i would put my 2 cents in and start one. I want to know what everybody thinks about the AT&T takeover of dobson. Is it good? Is it bad? Come on Cell One employees and customers whats the verdict?

I think our bonus lies in Candy mountain and the only way to get said bonus is to follow Charlie while Donovan McNugget rides his back. To do this wait in the north east quadrant at aproximately 4pm on sunday afternoons. The ninja has waited and has looted 1.A fresh kidney(common) 2.Busted Acl(common) 3.A non-superbowl ring(very common) 4.Candy hooves(rare) 5.Empty can of Campbells loser soup(ultra common) 6.A righteous bonus (ultra rare).

Now the Ninja is gonna farm this area till his bonus pops and hopefully you do to cause farming is a lonely chore.

Well folks its time for my 3 and 1/2 cents. I honestly think AT&T would be smart to keep us around. We have alot of pretty good reps. Our customer satisfaction rating is pretty high. They can dump all the Cell One customers on us and not have to worry about the overflow in their care units. We're 24 hours so they can boast that now! Lets hope we make the cut! I believe our destiny is in our hands so lets not slack off and miss out on this opportunity. Oh btw Go Bucs!!!

Everyone who works for Cellular One, what are your plans for a new job if we lose our jobs?

Ok, so I've been mulling over the blackberry pearl. Main thing holding me back is the cost of the data plan. I currently have a w300i with the 1600 national rate plan for talking and the old 20.00 signal link plan (I've had the plan for a while and I"ve never renewed my contract so I was apparently grandfathered in at 20.00). That gives me something like 150 mms and 3000 sms along with unlimited data transfer. So after fees and all of that jazz my bill is about 78.00 a month. If I dropped down to a 400 anytime minute plan with unlimited nights and weekends (which would drop my calling plan from 50.00 to 35.00 a month) then drop my signal link and just get the 1,000 texts plan for 10.00 a month that would bring my bill to about 52.00 a month ...

Just had an account that had $1207.65 in text message overage charges.

They were on an expired signalink premium package @ $19.99/mo

I guess it only includes 3200 messages.. they were 8000+ messages over that.

All I could think of when I saw the bill was "wow...this person has no life"

Well folks I don't see AT&T's name on the door yet. Still Cell One! Does customer service week really exist or is this just a nice way of the corp heads saying good bye in the corny way they do things? The Ninja is praying he keeps his job. He needs that buyout bonus and he needs his J.O.B. I like being paid and am way to lazy at this time to go hunting for a new one. does anyone really know whats going on with the att takeover. because everytime i turn around im hearing something different. i dont want to be "owned" by att for the rest of my contract. so whats the best course of action i found a new carrier...ive never had a problem with cell one until recently. problem one. i authorized a payment of $150 they processed the payment for 250 causing everything in my checkin acct to bounce... it was like pulling teeth to get the money refunded and my overdraft fees taken care of. then my phone was shut off. ive never had my phone shut off for non payment but htey shut me off. so i called cust care and they said i have 2 accts and my second acct is 60 days past due... i asked for the phone # to "my second ac...

The deal will be sealed on October 1st and 4-6 weeks later we will fully change to the AT&T name with all their products.

I had a few people talking about customers calling in with letters about the acquisition being around October. Can anyone that has this letter or knows what I am talking about please explain what is being said in the letter. I have been told that AT&T sent the letter and that we have sent the letter to people.

I just had a weird interaction. An elderly gentleman came into my store with a beat up Motorola V190. He stated that there are two lines on the account and the account holder is deceased. He wanted me to take the phone. He said that someone had continued the account wrongfully and the other person was in Ohio. I told him that we do not cancel accounts here because we are an authorized dealer. I educated him that he must either call customer service or visit the COR store which is a couple miles down the road. He said he did not know the account holder's information and he knew that customer service would request that. I educated him to go to the COR store and they would be able to assist him in finding out how to take care of the line.
