I heard through the grapevine the acquisition may be complete today... 🤨 Are my sources reliable??? Last date I heard was the 16th.

i recently downloaded opera mini to my razr phone and it will not acces the net thru it like supposed to. i can access the net from cell one home page and everything else works fine. but it just wont connect thru opera mini. getting error message "failed to connect to the internet" i hope you can help. 😕

still no news from management on the merger. but at&t will be in okc on 11-7 and in oh on 11-8. heard date is going to be 11-9. (doubtful) just wish they would give us some kind of insight to this merge with at&t so that we can all stop womdering when, whats gonna happen, all that other bs. ya know 🙄

Had a customer today with a BB 7100G and he was experiencing a lot of congestion in his area. His T-Mobile work phone works just fine. I was going to go back there and get a test phone b/c I know there are options to change preferred networks.. Talked with a lead to see if we even had test BB devices and he asked what for. I told him what I wanted to do and he said that option is taken out of our phones.

I checked my basic nokia... and ill be damned if he wasnt right..

My question is, is there a way he can update the device to get that option back in the phone?

I was told that cellone takes that option out to prevent massive roaming charges on customers accts (and to save the company money).. seems like its a crutch to our ...

i just wanted to let everyone on here know that my account was logged into by one of my reps, who posted some sensitive information.

the name was under sdieffen, which i have just changed the password again, and i will no longer be using that account.

I was wondering what you guys know what's gonna happen with the whole 1 year agreement about maintaining confidentiality after employment once AT&T takes over.

Since it was signed with Dobson, and Dobson is going to be no more.... does that mean you can just go work for another carrier no problem??

I work in the Boardman Contact Center and bottom line is...I want to keep my job.....I don't care about retention bonuses or when I'm getting my money...Daily we hear people say they can't wait for their money and they are outta here...Not that way for me....I need my hourly wage and my benefits....Youngstown, OH isn't the most happenin place for jobs...Literally hundreds of people could be out of work....We are payed not to bad for this area...yeah, there's crap that goes with it but you have that anywhere....The grass isn't always greener on the other side...I would like to think that we should no more about the future of our jobs by Christmas to make it a little merrier or drearier..Even if we just hear we are being kept open or closed wi...

Regarding the ATT/Dobson merger, is there any talk or information on Dobson retaining any of their markets? We're in Dutchess County, NY, in the Hudson Valley, where thier signal is quite strong and widespread, and I happen to work next door to where Dobson used to have a big Call Center. In the past week, I have seen Cell One employees back in their old suite, for a couple of hours and today Verizon is working on the landline service in the building, and if all that were not curious enough, yesterday, CellOne started a new sales promotion on the radio, with an expiration date of 11/8/07. Just sounds very fishy, in light of the other info posted in this forum.

So who likes the new console? I dont hate it.. theres just some little things that will take some getting used to, like having to enter dealer code on every feature/plan change now. It is a lot faster then going in and making all the changes though. I like that you can start a note, tab over and do some other things with the account and then go back to the note and what you've typed is still there. Thats a big bonus. No more typing 4578934572345897 notes every time you change something, note it, customer wants something else done, do it, note it...and on and on.

who can tell me what setting needs changed in some 8100s before Opera will work? I can download them just fine but on certain devices, when I go to install they wont connect to the internet... whatever...I thought it was in somewhere with service books but i guess not.....

Recently, a letter was either mailed to or made available online to Cell One COR stores, agents and dealers. It answered a few questions about the pending AT&T take over. Some of the questions were answered with something like "AT&T will let you know as the time nears." I know there have been many questions about AT&T's purchase of Dobson Communications and Cell One. I heard that all cellular one phones are unlocked and are just loaded with browser and mms settings? Is this true? Can anyone shed some light?

Is there any where to get phones from Cell One with Cell One software and not unlocked phones?

I see more and more people now and it appears most work for the company.....
