how bad is US Cellular hurting to offer this to customers. its not a good idea. its a way to scam people into a new 2 year contract. they will get the new phone ( which will add 20 to 40 Internet package mattes what one you get) not like it because they will be paying more money. then have to which back to there old phone. then still be on a 2 year agreement.
yea people US Cellular is hurting more and more people are leaving because of our phones. they are tired of the same crap. plus the company that US Cellular is selling due to low profit. I work for US Cellular and don't even have there service.

We FINALLY got ours in today. We have a long list of people waiting for them to come back. I just hope they dont go right on back order now.

I know that nobody can officially say yes, but can anyone speculate that there is a possible for Sept. release?

See I knew nothing would come of this!

Soooo i've called 3 of he us cellulars in my town and all reps that answer the phone say they haven't even heard of it? Anyone know if we're gonna get it?

I was in getting my PPC 6800 first activated a few weeks ago(I had bought it used), and in talking to the rep who was changing my account, he dropped the hint that supposedly, if you have insurance and file a claim on the PPC6800, it gets replaced with a Touch Pro. According to him, he had heard of a few people who were taking advantage of that. However, reading here, I see people getting given credits to use toward buying a phone at full retail from USCC for a discontinued phone. Can somebody either confirm or debunk what I was told?

Is us cellular going to get the samsung trance or the samsung exclaim?

I turned on the phone yesterday afternoon to find the long awaited "Ev" icon on my Touch Pro. Earlier in the day (before noon) I had done a roaming update and was still at 1X, so the change must have occured during the afternoon.

My location is Washington, IL, across the river from Peoria, so I presume Peoria is EVDO now too.

This is only two or so months after the tentative switch date announced by US Cell reps in my area. I have not seen a formal announcement on the USC website.

I have spent about 6 1/2 years in the wireless industry. I started with Verizon back before the move to digital and left the company in spring 2007. When I left, I was working part time and pulling down 29k a year. If anyone can tell me, how is their hourly rate and commission structure? Any help would be most appreciated! Very Happy

I really like the Touch Pro and want to know how much would the data plan be? I know theres different kinds but could I get the cheapest one? And if so how much would it be? Im in chicago.

And also, one of my friends is selling his for $100 to me, so would I just be able to go to a store and just tell them to switch my service from one phone to the other easily? would they even make me get the data plan since im not buying the phone? Thanks.

I would've posted this earlier had I not been in Myrtle Beach all week but it looks like as of around Tuesday, US Cellular EVDO 3G is now up and running in the majority of, if not all of, Mountain Maryland and Eastern West Virginia. Considering the fact that I have virtually no bars at my house and still pick up EVDO lets me know that they pretty much saturated the whole area. Now if only they'd build a tower nearby.

I have had really good luck I have got two blackberry tours activated on us cellular! Verizon was having a lot of problems in my area and they told me to deal with the problems that I was having and they told me everything was working fine! The only problem is that the service cut in and out! When I would say can you hear me now most would say what are you saying I keep hearing every other word! Well after 5 verizon exchanges on the blackberry tour I told them to stick it! I have got the two tours on us cellular now and they work great! All data and evdo are working fine! I can't wait for us cellular to start celling this phone ! When they do I can see a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon! 😁

Apparently the EVDO network has just hit Eastern NC and it sucks! Text messages come through 2 hours later, they send 2 hours later... Calls come through and the phone doesn't ring...
Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem like this? There are several people I know experiencing these problems.

for phones like the lg tritan and the samsung delve is it possible to disable the internet on the phone. because i am looking at geting one of these two phones and don't want the internet on them because i don't ever need to be on the internet when im not at home.

Does any one know if us cellar is going to get the samsung exclaim or the trance?
