It depends on what you need the units for. The TouchPro is better for business while the Tritan for Personal use. Touch Pro accepts 32 GB MicroSDs and I believe has wifi. Also it has a much larger battery as well.

Tritan- Cheaper required internet package but no application downloads. Good if you're just looking to browse the internet and maybe play a few games and enjoy the touch screen

HTC Touch- More expensive data plan, but thousands of downloadable applications. Excellent use as a PDA and for streaming video such as those from YouTube.

The Tritan also has full Flash player support so YouTube works just as well on it as it does on the Touch Pro.

I carry a Touch Pro and am WM through and through, but, the Tritan is a sweet phone. I prefer the browser on the Tritan over IE Mobile, Opera, or Skyfire.

As mentioned previously, the Tritan doesnt have WiFi...the camera quality is virtually the same...most people can navigate with the joystick/mouse better than they can the crazy dpad on the TP. The tritan doesnt offer use as a tethered modem like the TP. With the Tritan it has a closed OS so all additional applications have to be purchased through the EasyEdge catalog. This has pros and cons...

Pros: Easier to download
All downloads are down directly from phone

Have you looked at Youtube on the tritan? I know my phone can do it as well but it's slow and kind of pixellated. Is it fast and clear on the tritan?

I know the touch pro is nearly flawless in that aspect.

It is close but better on the TOuch Pro. That is in large part due to the preloaded YouTube app on the Touch Pro. With the TP the screen is already fit to size with all of the controls being very touch friendly. Match that with the crystal clear picture and its pretty sweet.

With the Tritan you have to use the browser to reach m.youtube.com and navigate through the screen from there. Not bad but definitely better on the TP.

I am using the Tritan as a teathered modem 115.2 kbps (took some work hope to be able to connect @ 3G speeds when available). Utube video is very poor due to 1x connection and the lack od built in app. I haven't figured out how to sync w/ Outlook (prob can't). When using easyedge auto contact online backup the Tritan often freezes. I does not work w/ mobile gmail you must use mail.google.com or pop3.

Unless you are using the phone as a tethered modem very infrequently you should fully expect your data service to be turned off. The amount of data you will pull while tethering will raise a red flag pretty quickly and they will turn off your data services. USCC does not offer tethering on that device like they do their smartphones.

Is tehering that much more data intensive than if you used the web all day on it not tethering? I mean how would they know if I was browsing on it or tethering?

Does anyone have any experience being cut off by USCC?

They can easily tell by the amount of data transferred. the mobile browser compresses pages much more than a PC would.
