Strobe questions

Is it possible to download ringtones .midi files etc for the strobe? If so, what software/cables/hardware is needed? I am a newbie and need some hand holding here. How difficult/easy is the process?

Also, can ringtones be assigned to individual callers?

TIA for any assistance you can provide.

Which new phone should I get with Metro?

I currently have a LG vx3200. I've had the LG for about a year now and haven't had any problems whatsoever. I've dropped the phone on concrete several times and dunked in a pool once. The worst problems I've had with it are never getting it to work with the Data cable I've bought and now after a year the battery going bad. I've decided I need a newer phone, I'd like one that has a camera added in and CAN work with Data cables (it might just be me). I've read through some of the reviews listed here and none of the phones really got better than a 3.5 on their scale. Any suggestions? I need one that's durable and doesn't mind abuse, I work outside so it's gonna get some miles on its casing.

LNP Local Number Portability into and out-of MetroPCS

Hi,

I had a BellSouth # which I ported into Cingular Wireless. I'd really love to port this # into MetroPCS soon. Would that be possible? Also, would I be able to port this # to another carrier in the future? I heard something like if the # originally was from Bellsouth then I shouldn't have a problem to keep moving it from carrier to carrier - but I wanted to verify.

Thanks

Auction 66 - What are your thoughts - Winners/Losers?

With Auction 66 basically over, who do you think were the winners and losers? Who do you think over paid or got the best deal? Who is going to benefit from the spectrum they won the most?

That doesn't mean just because TMO acquired allot of spectrum they were the winner nor does it mean Spectrumco spent allot of money they are the winner. Who got the most bang for their buck? I have my opion but lets see what other in the industry think.

I will be posting this in other company forums. That way the trolls can give us their rediculous takes multiple times.

I saw a link the other day that showed what smaller companies were bidding for larger companies. Does anyone have this info?

Have fun!

Any new Motos on the horizon

Nearly time for a new phone. Am wondering if the Moto 323i or Moto W315 are in testing or possible releases anytime soon??? Was anxiously awaiting the 815, but it got pulled off the map. The new Nokia is $$$ and has some bugs that I'd rather not mess with. The Kyocera Strobe is interesting, but I'd rather wait if any new Motos may be introduced in the coming months. Anyone have any insights they can share? If so, much appreciated!!!

Nokia 6265 on the Metro Site

They already have the dummy phones in the Metro stores in Atlanta. They are just waiting for stock to arrive.

The Website is ready to go as well once they recieve ample shipments.

Data is almost here

they started testing mobile web this week, it will be either available as a seperate ala carte feature (best guess is $7 per month) or it will come with a new rate plan at $50 per month.

Question For DetroitMetro

I live in the Metro detroit area and im currently under cingular and im waiting for cingular to release 3g service which they wont for a while,

does MetroPCS have any plans to release EV-DO in the metro detroit area anytime soon because i am ready for 3g and im waiting and waiting for 3g and if cingular doesnt release it anytime soon im thinking of going to another carrier.

i wonder how the rates would work or if metroPCS would add another flat-rate plan to include unlimited EV-DO data.

btw, my sister has metroPCS and the service is excellent, metro will be big in no time, a lot of people i know are moving to metroPCS, keep up the good work!

Useing my v262 to access the internet

Hello,
I have a question about using my v262 as a modem by connecting it with a USB cable. I have read a few things about it here and there but have not been able to a clear understanding about it. Is it even possible to use my phone as a modem with a USB cable and some software? If so, does anyone have any idea what software I need and can I download it free somewhere? How does it work exactly, do you just use your current ISP or what? Thanks in advance for any info. Later!
