Hey guys I usually post on HowardForums and I thought I'd post this here too since a lot of you don't read that forum.

You all know that Metro doesn't let you send text messages to numbers that are only 5 or 6 digits right now, so you can't use Google's SMS service (by texting to 466453) to look up information like weather, movie listings, stocks, driving directions, etc.

Yesterday I found another service that WILL work over Metro because they have a 10 digit number you can text to. The site is called 411sms.com and to get SMS info through them you send text messages to 3109043113 like "weather 90210" "stock goog" and so on. If you send a text message that says "help" it gives you a list of everything you can text them.

I am thinking about switching from Cingualr to Metro PCS, I am constantly on the phone. So I thought it might be more coast effective to switch to Metro. I saw that they offer a "roaming" option. Does anyone know how much this is. OR is there any way around it. I am under the impression that Metro phones can not be "unlocked". Thanks - T

I currently use nextel and want to switch to Metro PCS, which is now available in Los Angeles. The reason I choose nextel is because I am able to record phone calls when I'm driving. Is there any Metro PCS phone that will allow the recording of calls. It can even be an old model that I can find on ebay.

i have the krzr k1m and it was a really cool phone at first, but then it gave me alot of problems with the reception, the bluetooth, the mp3, the camara, etc. now i am tired of this phone. 😕 i was thinking of getting the Samsung U520 but i heard there is problem with the bluetooth. i dont like motorolas anymore, i think they suck, so i wanna get a samsung with a good bluetooth or a nokia. about the new nokia, does anyone know how it looks like? or does anyone know how the new samsung looks like? if anyone know pleasee let me know. i really wanna know how it looks like.

Its Official, sep 30 the z6m would be launch for metro pcs. and the Huawie m318 also schedule to lanch some time this month, i actualy had the oportunity to test this phone out prior to lauch,its a nifty phone but lack's internal look's..out side is ok but a cheaper verson of the moto w385 wich is already out for metro pcs stores..its all black so it helps but hey its still crapy looking in general
