are they? I know like most of u, like me, are havin problems with aim on there phone. some of my problems is freezing of the phone, not gettin the IM's on time, sometimes i even get them an hour later, or never at all.

but the main problem that really irks me is when your talking on the phone, and u have an IM coming in, the phone vibrates/goes off when your talking on the phone!!!

i really hope metro does an aim upgrade, cuz it's obvious there low technology phones arent that compatible with it.

Im 90% sure that the next major phone that is coming out for metro at the end of this month or start of Feb. is going to be some version of the Moto Krave. the guy i got this from works at the local metro offices here in the san francisco bay area and the only phone he was wrong about in the last few years was he said metro was getting a sidekick and it turned out to be that stupid keyocera strobe.

Now that this service is being out there for a while I believe it is more spread and people have more knowledge about it.

The service metroflash offered at metro store promise only text and talk but I have been told there are independent programmers who can actually flash a phone to its full cababilities.

I know not all phones can be fully flashed but there are some that certanly can and are also top of the line phones which by far are more attractive than any on metro's line up.

Can anyone tell me (please no theories, only proven info), what are the best phones avaliable out there from the CDMA cariers that can actually be flashed and used over Metro pcs with all its capabilities.

Ok you guys seem to be the most on this board with somewhat more(inside) knowledge that is confirmed than just heresay. I have the Nokia 6265i. It's pretty beat up, but still works like a charm. Eventually it's gonna stop though, and I need to get a new one.
I'm tired of waiting around for a good quality phone not some entry level one. All the rumors about the Hint,a Blackberry, and another touchscreen coming out are getting so repitious.
There is also the Flash2MetroPCS.com site that has much higher quality phones which I am willing to buy, but I want to make sure there is NOTHING coming out higher quality or hell even mid-quality at this point.

When is MetroPCS going to release a new EVDO phone that supports AWS? All the AWS phones support the slow ass 1x network. Geez!!! this is 2008, shouldn't their whole network be EVDO by now? I'm tired of the piss poor phone selection. I've been holding on to my Samsung U520 for quite some time now, there's no phone released that have convinced me to "upgrade." Sorry for sounding like a whiner but metro's phone releases have been disappointing lately.

I've flashed my older razr phones and have a lg voyager for my wife and wanted to experiment flasing this too, but I can't find any flash files for metro pcs, just for cricket. I usually get info from here or mark ventures site but nothing for metropcs... any idea on where to get the needed files for the metro flash?

I would like to send a text message to a MetroPCS phone from my internet email. (I can do this with Verizon by emailing the phone #@vtext.com) Is there a similar feature?

i have a motorazr v3s, and when someone calls, it rings about 8 times before voice mail picks up. is it possible to adjust it so that voice mails picks up sooner?

Ok so I want to get the LG voyager from Verizon and flash it to MetroPCS. Is there anyone that has sucessfully done this? Will I lose any features on the phone such as the Navigator or the MP3 Player?? Any info would be helpful as a Voyager is a huge investment and I don't want to waste my time and money if i am going to lose some of the features that I am looking for.

I was wondering if metro Pcs was going to ever come out with a Smartphone? I like the service but the phones are very very cheese with not alott of features for the Business person in mind. ☹️

Hey is there a way I would be able to get a statement of who all I have texted and who all have texted me? Also is there a way to actually read what is in the text message? If there is no such feature can I bring in my phone to a Metro PCS store and have them pull this info from deleted text messages?

The reason I am asking is because an old friend who I had lost touch with sent me a text message and I accidentally deleted his message. I had to clear messages due to too many text messages in inbox.

With the Alltel buyout approved, Verizon will be seeking a partner or partners to purchase the spectrum and markets the FCC is forcing them to divest. Is there a chance that Metro PCS will purchase any of these markets?

1) i know that the motorola krzr was discontinued from metro pcs, so i was wondering if i would buy the moto krzr from ebay, could i have worked again for metro pcs?
