Sprint (Network & Services) Vs. Verizon (Network & Services)

I know this question has been asked plenty of times.. But the question will continue to come up..Both use the same technology for there network but.. there has to be a difference somewhere.. I have Verizon now..but I was with the new Sanyo's Out with PTT, I was planning on moving to Sprint to try it out.... With everything involved (Network,Services,Pricing)Is it worth it to move the Sprint..?

I live in the New York/Long Island Area

Thx 😁

Sprint GSM Service

Has anyone tried the Sprint GSM service? I saw the GSM and PDC phones. I was wondering if I can use any GSM phones that are available on the public market.

Before you tell me that Sprint doesn't have GSM, they do have GSM. In fact they also sell GSM phones as well.

Here is the link.

Sprint GSM is mainly for people who travel abroad but I was talking to a CSR and you can use it while you are in the States. Since I haven't seen any posts about Sprint GSm I was wondering if anyone out there is using the service.

Sprint is launching Push to Talk (Readylink) this week

Yes I know we've all waited for it and here it is Sprint PCS has the walkie talkie they call Readylink. It's price by itself is $15/month or if you also subscribe to PCS Vision services it's only $5/month. On the heels of Sprint's 7pm nights and weekends and mobile television the cutting edge is truly here and now.

VGA 1000 - Possible Video Capture???

When the Samsung A-620/VGA 1000 was announced, the Phone Scoop page for the phone noted that the phone was capable of video capture (now more interesting that Sprint has launched the video service), but may or may not be enabled when the phone came out. Well, it was not enabled. But I wonder if it now can be. Any thoughts? Could a software upgrade be in the works that would 'turn on' the video camera?

TIA

phones b4 the holidays?

does anyone know if sprint is getting ready to release a new wave of phones before the holidays...???

phones such as the SPH-A640--- tmobile people can now get this phone in the form of the E715... even though the A640 was announced WAY BACK in march as a CDMA phone for the U.S. 😡

how about the fate of the T608... people on this board said it would be out very soon-- and that was mid-October... we're now near mid-November.

Nokia 2285

I see that the Nokia 2285 has been released for Verizon. Any idea if/when this will be released for Sprint?

Also, if I buy an "unlocked" 2285 from a 3rd party, will it work on the Sprint network?

Thanks all!!!

Sprint in Seattle?

Hi all, I want to get people's experience with Sprint in the Seattle area. I currently use them in NY, but will be relocating out west next month. I am debating whether or not to sign up for a new contract so I can get in on the 7pm naw plan. I don't want to sign anything though until I know what the service is like out there, so let me know.

New phones and/or rebates for current phones

Does anyone know if there will be any new phones due to be released before christmas?
Outside of anything that flips by samsung, or something that is less expensive than the scp-5500...

Also, are there going to be any rebates on current phones during the holiday season?
