Ex-Nextel Customer With A Few Questions To The Board Posters

Instead of the *Sprint-Nextel* company logo does not everyone think it will just be *Nextel*

Nextel tied up their name with NASCAR for what the next 12 years?!

They spent a couple million dollars putting their propaganda up at the race tracks and putting towers around the racetracks.

I can hear it now *Watch JR SPRINT for the NEXTEL Cup Championship next week on FOX!! sponsored by Cingular

Nothing against sprint but sometimes it's the name of the company that most influences a potential customer.

Sprint went almost bankrupt. Nextel started out from mastering two way radio communication and turned it into a decent cell phone service.

Any Sprint reps or someone with access please help

My wife is being stalked by some psycho, the bastard is constantly calling my house at all times of day and night threatening us. We have absolutely no idea who he is and the cops arent helping much. I got his name and number off caller ID and did and online search and found out that he has a Sprint phone but cant find out much more than that.

I know its probably against company policy so if no Sprint reps can do this then just ignore my request. Anyone who could give me some info on who this guy is from his Sprint acccount please respond to this message and I would greatly appreciate it. His number is (901) 230-4678. Once again, I dont want to get anyone in trouble so if this is gonna get somebody fired or arrested then nevermind, but a...

Sanyo 8200 reception

My mom has the Sanyo 8200 in a market that is predominatly a cingular and verizon town. Sprint gets service there but it is not reall marketed. I used to have the sanyo 8200 and I would not get good service there, but now I have the 4500 and I get great service there. The problem is that my mom has the 8200 and does not get good service. What should I do, do I need to try and get her a 4500. Could I take it to the Sprint store and ask for a diffrent phone like a 7300 which is the same price?

Sprints NEW Treo 650

This is a 'heads-up' and I hope I'm wrong but after two Treo 650's and 4 different bluetooth headsets (Jabra, Plantronics, ActionTec, and BodyGlove ),I came to a conclusion that the bluetooth feature on PalmOne's new Treo650 sucks. STATIC !!!!! all day and all night. REFUND was the magic word this morning.

Free of TMo & Clear Question

My contract with TMO is up. I will be switching to Sprint. But I am somewhat confused by the free and clear billing. I talk about 400 - 600 minutes per month (NOT including nights and weekends.) I believe the Free and Clear plan gives me free nights and weekends ... but how does it all work?

WTF, am I asking for too much?

I have high hopes for the new Treo; bluetooth, faster cpu..etc, but can someone please tell me why Palmone decided to keep the VGA 0.3 camera instead of upgrading to 1+MP (not like it needs more memory, hello..SD slot) ...how about upgrading to a 262k screen over 65k? Does anyone know if there's gonna be a phone with all of those features for SprintPCS?
PS: Happy Thanksgiving to ALL

sanyo 8100

Hey peoples...I don't know how to really answer this myself, and the website doesnt really clarify...my dad just broke his N400 and I bought him a slightly used Sanyo 8100 off of someones recommendation...he absolutely LOVES it, but since I'm the one that got it, and I work for a phone company I get asked all the questions, and its like dad just call customer care would ya? I dont work for sprint and I'm off the clock at that lol...but anyway...is there is way to use the camera and send pictures and use the pcs mail(???) without adding vision to his plan, even if he has to pay per picture??

What's up with the Contracting out for your call centers???

Just wanted to get more info on if Sprint is ever going to get enough money to pay their employees instead of throwing them off on Convergy's therefore, leaving them with bad benefits and a "ghetto" call center atmosphere as in Nashville and other cities..what's up with that?? Are you guys ever gonna get your stuff together and stop the mass layoffs.

Not a safe company to work for, as a former employee I have to say...there's no money to be given to it's employees. Verizon gives EVERY employee a bonus of more than 1200 every year..and it increases!! Not even including the VAR options which gives employees more money invested in the company to cash in. Tell me some news to beat our benefits at Verizon Wireless. Holla back and let's ...

Found a way to put ANY pic on your phone!

Ok, so if you have a camera phone, it's easy to put pictures on your phone for things like screensavers, pic I.D.'s and the like. You can even download pics that other people send you from there phones... But NEVER could you take a picture that you like off of an internet site like the photo section of yahoo.com and put it on your phone.... UNTILL NOW!!!

I spent an hour on the phone with a vision specialist yesterday and we started browsing the internet for programs that can do this, and we found http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/index.php This acts as an emulator for any sprint pcs phone. What you do is find a favorite shot of your buddy from an online album, save the picture to your computer, then go to the rumkin link, put in your pcs p...

Verizon Vs. Sprint

Ok I in a dilema. I live in the Tristate area. In NJ. I dont do alot of traveling, once in awhile. I have verizon service which i love the coverage. but I was thinking about switching to Sprint mostly because of the fact that 90% percent of my friends have sprint and I could drastically cut my plan because it would be free to talk to them and alot of them are also getting the PTT service from Sprint. Now my question, is how good or bad is the Sprint Service in the NJ NY area. And why should I stay with with Verizon?

Exchanged Sanyo 8200s for a 4920 and 7300

My wife and I had a pair of 4900s for a couple of years, we recently bought a pair of 8200s.

I didn't like the reception and the sound quality (muffled), so I exchanged mine for a 4920, and got my wife a 7300.

I like the 4920 so far, we have not used the 7300 yet but I'm hoping it will perform better than the 8200.

Camera was cool as a novelty, but not necessary for us.

Has anyone used these three phones, what are your thoughts? Did you find any differences in sound quality and reception between the 4920, 7300, and the (disappointing to me) 8200?

Thanks

My Sanyo Reception

My wife and I have had the Sanyo 4900 for about 2 years, and they had the best reception I've seen.

Last week, we got a pair of new Sanyo 8200 phones, and I've noticed the reception is not as good. In our home, we're dropping calls much more often.

I am thinking of taking the 8200 back, and perhaps looking at the 4920. Is the 4920 similar to 4900 in terms of reception, or is it about the same as the 8200 - which is not as powerful as the old 4900?

What is your experience with this?

Reform!

🤭 Let's all somehow make a statement and get the admins to improve these forums. It's so hard to read and keep track of responses.. why not have a forum where all the responses to the origional thread are on 1 page... for a site that updates the latest technology in wireless services, its funny that the forum format is as ancient as a Startac!

Sanyo 8200 - Someone says HELLO!

I just got the Sanyo 8200, and I have noticed this problem several times in the few days I've had the phone. (My wife has an 8200 too and she has noticed it also)

When I make a call, the person answering the phone says "hello" like they have said hello once and heard no response.

There is a half to one second when the call recipient answers the phone that neither of us can hear the other. This is pretty annoying, has anyone else noticed this? Is this a problem with the Sanyo 8200? Do you notice it with any other phones? I never had this problem with the 4900 which I used for 2 years.

Thanks.
