Blackberry 8830 Warranty Question

I have a 5 month old 8830 issued by my employer on my corporate account. Recently I have been experiencing issues where I will complete a voice call and after I press END to hang up, the unit re-sets itself and the red light goes on etc.
What a PITA...lol
If I bring it into a corporate store here on Long Island, will they be able to help me fix it, get it fixed, replace it under the warranty etc?
My company is based in Virginia so I am almost never there.

Will they demand I wash dishes???? 🙂

The long awaited HTC Shift is now coming to you from Sprint, 140+ hands-on photos

Source: http://blogs.zdnet.com/mobile-gadgeteer/?p=95 2

I’ve been using an HTC Shift from Sprint for over a week now and as you can see in over 140 photos and screenshots found in my extensive image gallery I have had a chance to try out most all aspects of the device. I was planning to post my full review next Monday, 24 March, when the Sprint and HTC announcement will officially be made, but Amazon let the cat out of the bag and HTC lifted the embargo on us reviewers unexpectedly. I will be posting my full review with a video of the Shift in action later this evening/tomorrow morning, but wanted to get this image gallery and my bottom line thoughts up while the news is hot. Come back tomorrow for all the details where I explain my c...

I am sorry that I caused you all trouble. I think I really over did it, and I also posted too much information on myself on this site. Too many people know who Ramon P. Carroll III is and now I need to walk away while I can still breathe. Good bye all. Rich, and Eric, thank you for all you've done to keep phonescoop.com running. Thank you for listening to all of my suggestions, and for putting up with me and my shenanigans. Good luck!

Sincerely,

Verizon and their Truly Unlimited calling is a big time joke!

So I'm looking at verizon and their lame website and it shows for 139.99 you get unlimited minutes, unlimited txt, Vcast, (which is a complete waste with zero worthwhile content) Mobile web 2.0, ( no java, opera mini, no html, a complete waste!) and Vzw Nav and mobile email (not BB bis) 🤣

So with taxes its like 160.00, and what if you want smart phone data, I bet it's another 45 bucks!! 😳

Who the HELL would would pay for that garbage??? Anybody want to port!! 🤣 🤣

Sprint Call Quality

I currently have both AT&T (for my use in my town which has no Verizon coverage) and Verizon (for my use in the area where my daughter lives which has no AT&T coverage). I have considered switching to Sprint, which has coverage in both places, but I am concerned about voice call quality. My ex-wife tried Sprint last fall and had a Katana DLX. When she called me, the voice quality was low in volume and had a "tinny" quality. When she would call me back on her Verizon phone, the voice call quality was louder and more natural. I was using the same cell phone for each call. Was the quality problem with Sprint or with the Katana?

cheapest sprint plan for people that don't use their phone

It just that. My mother never uses her phone but has an active account. I know what they offer in the store.... but what is the cheapest plan I can actually get her to convince her of keeping the service? She uses maybe 80 minutes a month.... maybe.

Blackberry 8830 vs. Pearl

Looking for advice from anyone who has experience with both. I love everything about the Pearl except for the suretype keyboard. Losing the camera for the better keyboard of the 8830 is no biggie to me, but I heard that the 8830 has a slower processor? Does Sprint TV and GPS still work pretty quickly in comparison to the Pearl? Thanks in advance everyone.

whats the deal???

What's the deal with NSS not being able to give credits. I just called because the wrong text messaging code was put on so they were charged 20 dollars per line-something that was very noticable and it took me over an hour because they had to transfer me 4 times. Are they really not able to give credits or are they just talking out their a$$'s again???

New Dan Hesse "Simply Everything" Commercial

I really like this commercial...

It is not officially out yet. If I read correctly, it won't be out til Monday, but it has a lot of potential.

It gives a very personal appeal to the company, which we obviously need. My only concern is the end. I hope we are not going to try and rebrand again as the "Now Network".
