Sprint's HTC One to Receive Android 4.3 Today

HTC announced via Twitter that the Sprint variant of the HTC One will gain access to the Android 4.3 system update beginning today. In addition to improving the base OS, the update also adds features to Sense, including Instagram integration and video highlights in Blinkfeed.

Hunh? what?

If I'm remembering this wrongly, please correct me, but I thought the One wasn't gonna be carrier-restricted (loaded with bloat & delay upon delay of updates) like the One X and literally every other Android phone. Wasn't that one of its selling points? Why is only the Sprint version getting it?
There is a "nexus" variant of the HTC one, that runs a stock version of Android. It receives the updates directly from google as soon as they are available. There's also a nexus version of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Nice update

I have the HTC One developers edition and got this a bit over a week ago. Good news for you Sprint users, its like getting a new device all over again.
