Re: Does this mean i can finally have 4G
WiMax is dead. With the announced shift to LTE(finally!)why would,or should, Sprint continue throwing money into a network it's leaving behind. What might be possible is for Sprint's version of the iPhone to be using EVDO Rev.B for data.EVDO Rev.B is already equipped on the newer high-end Android devices Sprint has.Rev.B is roughly the CDMA equivalent of GSM's HSPA+. Sprint's EVDO Rev.B and AT&T's HSPA+ data networks should be fast enough to hold their customers over until their LTE network expansions ...
Re: its the Droid X lite..
It's "light" because there's no Blur or Bloatware.
Re: 10 years since the T61c, and Sony Ericson returns
And the QWERTY keyboard that snapped onto the bottom of the phone. SE has always had innovative accessories for their phones. :D
Re: too little too late...
I agree too. If HPalm gives the Pre 3 solid hardware build-quality and then quickly announces that 4" touchscreen HTC-ish slab that's been showing up in pics online they can be right back in the game.
Re: 10 years since the T61c, and Sony Ericson returns
The T61c was my first Verizon phone.I loved that little egg-phone. I guess it had a bad reputation quality-wise but mine ran great. I had the bronze faceplate and QWERTY keyboard that snapped onto the bottom of the phone. SE had some great accessories for their phones back then.
Gimme A Break...........
I'm still bitching about the mandatory seat belt laws for adults while motorcycle drivers can go riding without helmets. Now they want to take away my cell phone? Time to ban drive-thru windows and car stereos.I guess to the DOT driving should be like being in a MRI chamber with windows.
Re: wow its not hard
You're right but the smartphone that's only $100 or $199 is always going to be more attractive.Especially if you can upgrade after 12 months. Why spend $400 on a device that will be out of date the next year? That's especially true with Android devices.
Re: MyFaves, FTW
T-Mobile spent so much money promoting MyFaves and it worked perfectly.Just like Cingular/AT&T market Rollover, useful of not.Sprint has their AnyMobile Everything Plans.Even USCC still offers Free-Incoming Call Plans. The point is that, true or not, the customer rationalizes he or she are getting a bargain and value every month on the plan they use every month. The EM and EM+ never offered that.
Odd, No name?
I wonder why CS's version doesn't have a name? Galaxy S is Samsung's series line name. /;|
MyFaves, FTW
So what if it's a "gimmick",MyFaves needs to come back T-Mobile!
Re: Sprint STILL hasn't learned it's lesson yet....................?
So THAT explains it.........
Sprint STILL hasn't learned it's lesson yet....................?
You would think the Nextel disaster would have taught Sprint "something" about mixing technologies. As the rest of the world moves on with LTE,Sprint seriously considers dumping more money into the Clearwire "pit". Even after Sprint's own CEO admits there's a "Plan B" to still swtich to LTE. Who makes these decisions? The octopus that picked all those World Cup games?
Re: MOTOROLA DROID DISCONTINUED...
Looks like insurance is out, especially with the new, higher deducibles. Just to be given a Devour or Eris? No Thanks.
No Data Plan Required!
From the reviews I've read on Verizon's website this is the best of the "No Data Plan Required" basic phones. It's not at the VZW store by me yet so I really can't make any hands-on judgments. I hope it's good, Verizon needs more solid basic QWERTY messaging phones like AT&T carries. :D
LOL, it's the SAME Review........
Read the Wrap-Up sections from this review and T-Mobile's Vibrant. It's almost word-for-word the exact review...........
Re: Microsoft is a bunch of screw ups - Will HP be the next?
WebOS is a great operating system.Sounds like HP knows what it bought. Now if they can just work on giving Palm the right hardware to show off what it can do.
First Off: Does it require the $10 Data -Add On?
Does Verizon force you to add the $10 Data Plan on this phone? :P
Jobs and AT&T: Made for each other.
So remember, if you're in NYC and your iPhone 4g doesn't work it's your fault.AT&T has plenty of spectrum and you're probably holding your phone wrong in the first place.
Re: why would nokia
Remember AT&T really gutted the e71 when they released it as the e71x.Locked out alot of features and loaded alot of AT&T bloatware. People who used the unlocked version were very satisified.Hopefully T-Mobile is far more open.
Re: Very tempting...
Runs very well on my older VZW 8330.
Rickenbacker?
I'm hoping this sells.Would love to see a Rickenbacker limited edition version of this.C'mon HTC,go get Tom Petty to be it's spokesman. :D
Re: Sprint curve and you tube !!!!
I have the Verizon Curve and found that I could watch some YouTube videos but not all.It depends on the format of the video.
Re: CAGE MATCH ONE NIGHT ONLY!!!!
VZW Guy kicks Chad's butt because "he brought the 'chucks!".
Re: Can you install your own ringtones?
Thanks,I only ask because I believe the T-Mobile's Nokia 6133 would not let you use your own mp3 files as ringtones.
Can you install your own ringtones?
Can you load your own sound files and use them as ringtones on the T-Mobile branded Nokia 5310? Thanks
Re: difference??
There is no hardware difference between the VZW Q9m & SPCS Q9c.Only different software installed.Only the AT&T Q9 Global is really different.VZW is supposed to be releasing their own Q9c which will have more buisness-orientated software vs the Q9m's music store.I also agree with others that the VZW Q9m should have it's own forum & ratings.Maybe when the VZW Q9c comes out that will happen.
Re: Motorola Q9c from VZW
VZW is supposed to get the Q9c before the end of the year. But I haven't seen any pics of one or heard any exact dates. Sprint's version was just released on Black Friday.Very nice.If it looks like Sprint's Q9c or AT&T's Q9 Global then it should look nicer and more professional than the Q9m. :-)...
Re: Did you ever think...
Do you really think Verizon is going to allow a smartphone with Wi-Fi? :o I'm surprised the Moto Q9m was allowed to keep it's Wi-Fi ability(when a SIDO card is installed).
Re: Will Have mine tommarrow!
Is yours comming from Germany? I'm jealous but I'll have to wait until the price comes down a bit. :D It looks like such a Beautiful Phone.
Re: V323 color is way cooler!
Get the V325i from VZW....in Silver w/Bluetooth. :D
Re: T-Mobile will sell it 13Feb07
From the updates I've read on HoFo the new release date is Feb.28th.I hope the 5300 has real Nokia quality.I was disappointed in the build quality of the 6101,6103,and 6030 Nokias.Just because it's a low-end phone doesn't give Nokia the excuse to build cheap. I know they can do better.
Re: Will AT&T Wireless Return?
That's not odd at all. :D I wouldn't want ANYTHING on my phone to remind me of Cingular.
Re: Home Depot?
Yes,I've seen VZW offered in the Home Depot by my house in FL.It's not a permanent kiosk setup like in Circuit City.Just a temporary kiosk used on the weekends.

Thanks. I probably can't justify the cost, but thanks for all the great info!
What cost are you looking at? :?
Re: I feeling a little luv now!
DIEGO is a "What" not a "Who". :D It's Nokia's CDMA Programer's Tool. It's not supposed to be available to the general public. :paranoid: With DIEGO you can change the factory settings on your Nokia CDMA phone. In your case you need to change the "ringtone" setting to "allow all file types" to erase the DRM restriction.Go to the Nokia 6255/56i Forum on Phonescoop or go to HowardForums.com and read the Nokia Sub-Forum within the Verizon Wireless Forum. You will find ...
Re: I feeling a little luv now!
No Problem, You found Diego and fixed your phone's settings I take it. :D
Re: t-mobile
Yes! :D I have an unlocked version of this phone on T-Mobile.Works Great(see my review) I can make and recieve calls and TXT Messages but I haven't downloaded the WAP/MMS settings to use T-Zones with.T-Mobile has a Settings Config.Tool on their website which lists the Nokia 3300.Use this Tool to fully enable your phone.ENJOY
