Hybrids are done. What is out there is it, actually they all have been sold out back in the summer, and then they relaunched until the Rev A network can be built out for Sprint DC service.

You need to look at the Blackberry 8830 or the I325 from Sprint. They both have GSM capabilities with GSM cards installed. This particular handset is Iden and it doesn't have much for international service.

Provisioning Time!!!!!

in the BlackBerry Curve 8350i forum

It seems everyone has forgotten that in the past with the 7510,7520,and 7100i, they all took time to provision the email and web. This handset is really no different. I have activated a few so far and they all have provisioned within an hour, which is actually faster than the older handsets. Make sure you are on the right rate plan for this handset, because if not, it will cause the handset to provision alot slower. The newer plans ...

You might want to read a little farther into EV-DO data transfers, there are actual data transfer test done by RF engineers on all the networks, and granted VZW does have a good network, Sprint still has faster up and download speed, that is proven, and with the first network going to Rev A, we'll see you when ya'll get caught up. I do agree with you AT&T..... well enough said.

Hmmm... what do you get when somebody post info they don't what they're talking about?? oh... you! :o If you would read more in depth about the 2 phones, they were both being developed at the same time, and the Touch was released same day as the iPhone, only in the UK.... it has been revamped for the US model, to include faster processor, EV-DO data, Stereo BT, and better response for the Touch-Flo.

No i don't work for Sprint, and as far as the quarters stating numbers, thats all that is, the cell phone world is constantly revolving. Verizon nor AT&T has the data speed that even compares to Sprint's, and if u live near Charlotte, then you obviously don't have an EV-DO device. I'm in Rev.O, and my data speed at peak time is close to 2MB. I know 3 people with the iPhone, and its nice, but my Motorola ...

Ok, first off... you're not in a Rev O area if you are only getting 400 to 500 kbps, you're probably in 1XRTT area, or roaming on data side.... which must mean you're not close to any cities, or more populated areas. Most of our data has been upgraded to Rev.O, but not completely, while other areas are already getting Rev.A. Even our slowest network is producing speeds just under what most other carriers are producing at fastest. Maybe ...

The data side of the GSM network cannot compete with that of 1x EV-DO Rev.O that Sprint can offer. The speed of Rev. O right now is equal of 1 MB or faster, soon to upgrade to Rev. A which will be closer to 3MB. WiFi cannot produce speeds that fast due to so many others connecting at the same time. So compare AT&T's network of 500kb to 800kb tops to Sprints 1MB at average now, WiFi is not needed.

regardless of wifi, Sprint EV-DO is pushing 1MB during peak times, and up to 3MB offpeak on REV. A right now. Once the upgrade is completed this fall, according to an RF data engineer in my area, they are expecting to have speeds of 2MB to 3MB during peak times, up to 5MB offpeak. Thats from a data engineer for Sprint.... with that said.... why do you need wifi????

This is the iPhone Killer, same style..... 5 times faster, more Multi Media than most phones, PDA's, and Ipods put together. Welcome to Sprint Speed. Oh Yeah.... Half the price too. Sure to piss off all the AT&T lovers. I can't wait to get mine, and show them what my 250.00 phone will do, and their 600.00 phone won't even think about doing.

No blame given, its just that there are many people that rely on sites like this to get updates, and its better to give the correct info, so that i don't have to deal people who don't understand that mistakes can be made, and that the phone is what it is.

The REAL facts
Oct 16, 2007, 11:43 AM

The FACTS are that the phone is available...NOW (not January)... we have one in stock in our Sprint Indirect store for sale to the public. It is also available for direct ship through VAD. This phone is not EV-DO either, it is just a plain ol' Vision phone. Not sure where your information is coming from...but it is WAY off base. RESEARCH IS GOLDEN... ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE POSTING IT!! :o

You are correct in saying its silly, but on the other hand, look at what Sprint Nextel has done for the series since they took over. They have pretty much put you in the drivers car, given everyone the possiblity to see the other side of the sport, and the last thing i would want is to see is another wireless provider advertising on what i have millions of dollars invested in. Drive the nail, but ur probably one the Sprint customers that ran to the store when you found out that you could get a phone that has CDMA & IDEN both together, or atleast thats what every CDMA customer wants is the Walkie Talkie!

The ability to change the sponsorship name from Nextel to Sprint, was mentioned earlier this season, stating that when the contract was wrote, Nextel had the ability to change its name 1 time over the course of the 10 yr contract to follow up with the above statement.

What all of you are missing is the facts of the contract that was mentioned involving the deal between Nextel, Nascar, current wireless sponsors, and future changes. What was said, Is all current wireless sponsors would be allowed to keep the sponsorship, but would not allow any new wireless sponsors, or any RENAMING, which is what AT&T is doing. That was what was said during last race.

the RAZR is still trying to to compete with Sam a900, as theres not a slim line phone available that will do what the 900 will, and the Katana was nothing more than a reduced price slim line for the Sprint customers to buy who doesn't need all the performance of the blade.
