Droid Incredible ETF Questions
Jan 23, 2011, 4:59 PM
in the Verizon forum

I have 11 months left on 2 year contract with a Droid Incredible with Verizon. I no longer have need for this one phone's service. What is the ETF amount for this Incredible? Are there any other hidden costs or surprises by using ETF? I've never used ETF before. This Incredible is the Primary Line on a four line Family Plan. I have 3 other Lines and I would think that with an ETF on the Primary Line, one of ...

epik, Thanks. I do appreciate the help. No, I did not have a Broadband Card/Line. I have a four phone Family Plan and with one of those four lines hardly used, I thought I would make sure I did not miss anything. Your assistance confirm to me that I will need to add the Broadband Line without any upgrade help. This has been done. Thanks again.

epik said: If you're a single line or family share primary line over $49.99/mo (not including add-ons and taxes), then you can upgrade annually OR at 20 months. Annually, you upgrade with the two-year pricing plus a $20 early upgrade fee. At 20 months you get the two year price, no upgrade fee, and either a $30 or $50 discount (because you signed in March 2010, which discount you get depends on how much your price plan is). If ...

Hi... There are a lot of ways to do this. Here is one. And see if this will of any help to you. Go to Market. Download and Install "free" Astro. Use Astro File Manager to navigate to SD Card and Folder: videos There you will find your Droid X videos. You can see names, rename, move, etc. Here is another way (or use both ways). You can use a Tools4Movies program: DVD Catalyst for Droid X (free) or paid version of ...

Now sure if I am of any help but here goes... Unless you "Mount" your microSD Card as Disk Drive, when you connect the Incredible to the Computer, you can only access Phone Memory. Default is "Charge Only". To "Mount" your microSD Card, Go To-->Settings-->Connect to PC. Do you find that? Select Connect to PC-->Default Connection Type. Now, in the Menu diaplayed, select Disk Drive. Then select Done. Now, connect the Incredible to the USB Port of the PC. Go to My ...

Today, 7-18-2010, 6:30am Day #4 (96 hours.) The battery indicated 30% charged and the Battery Level Bar is colored "Yellow". Battery Level Bar has "marks" at 10% increments. Bar is colored "Green" above 30%. At 7-18-2010, 6:00pm Day #4.5 (107 hours.) The Battery indicated 20% charged and the Battery Level Bar is colored "Red". A Warning Message also appeared saying Battery is @ 14% and needs to go on the charger. Testing is now completed. This 3500 mAh Extended Battery works for me!

Today, 7-17-2010. the report is: At 72 hours (3 full days). The extended battery indicates 50% remaining. Yesterday, the cell phone use was not too heavy. As to cutting the old Body Glove case to accommodate the Extended Battery; not a good idea. I find on the Seidio Web Site that they are developing a case for the Incredible that will accommodate the Extended Battery. That should work.

Menno, I fully agree. It is a GOOD thing. The extra weight is a very nice positive. I am at 48 hours (2 full days) as of 6:30am this morning and the remaining battery level indicates 70%! Very pleased! Maybe I will get four days out of this charge. One issue remains: I had the Body Glove Case with the Incredible which worked perfectly with the OEM Battery. Now, of course it will not fit because of ...

Seidio 3500mAh Extended Battery
Jul 14, 2010, 4:52 PM

For my HTC Incredible, I purchased and received late yesterday, the Seidio 3500mAh Extended Battery from Amazon.com. ($49.99) Charged it as recommended, 8 hours. (overnight) Put it into action 6:30am this morning. I've been using it all day today; heavy use. It is barely down to about 90%. The next several days and a few re-charges will paint the real world picture. So far, as expected, it exceeds the standard 1300mAh battery and I have no desire to go back to ...

Sorry about that. Note: any Import of Contacts to the phone will also remove previously selected Speed Dial settings and well as remove Group Selections. If you are importing from the SD Card into the phone, the phone contact list should be empty or there will be duplications. I have my Phone Contacts Backed-up to the Verizon BackUp Assistant using a daily sync schedule. I also have my Phone Contacts Exported to my SD Card which will be used as needed (maybe in ...

Text-to-Speech Question

On the Incredible, when I go to Settings-->Text-To-Speech, I find the Install Voice Data selection "Grayed Out" and not available for selection. I want to have Text-To-Speech operation available and I know I must download and install a program from the "Market" but I do not know which one will work on the Incredible. I tried one download, SpeechSynthesis Data Installer...it wasn't successful at all. It did not seem to install anything. Anyway, could not find where it did install ...

I Exported my 300+ Contacts from People to the Storage Card. That worked fine. (Later, I learned, when I did that, I lost my Group assignment for each contact.) That is not the bad! Here's the bad! I thought I would do an Import from the Storage Card to People, thinking surely the process would provide an "Out" so that I could stop the process before execution and surely the process will not allow duplications. Wrong on both assumptions! Well, ...

I do not understand why you would want those 50 e-mails "Mark All as Read". Did you want to save them on your phone? If you do not want to save them on the phone, why not "Delete" those e-mails you do not want; since you do not want to read those e-mails again? Open your list of 50 e-mails... Select "Menu". Select "Delete". Place a Red "X" for those e-mails you do not want and select "Delete" (note: it will say how ...

Menno... Questions for you: I am in the 14th month of a 2 year contract with Family Plan of 2100 minutes (contract ends 12/2010). I have my Primary Phone and two additional phones for grandchildren. I recently received e-mail offer from VZW to upgrade my Primary Phone (Omnia i910) to the new HTC Incredible at the 2 year pricing of $199. This is of interest to me. 1. What is a "High Value Plan"? 2. How does the VZW offer ...

Did some testing... Go to newly received text msg and open it. That msg is highlighted Blue. Close without replying and the [1] indicator is gone. Reopen same msg and Blue Highlight is gone. That is what I found. I will continue to watch the pattern. I have no idea what it was before the update.

Yes, I seem to find something different with this as well but not sure. To me, the Blue Highlight indicates this is the latest incoming reply to which I have NOT replied to. If I select Reply and do so, the Blue Highlight is no longer present. In addition, I am not sure but it seems that I may have to open the Text Msg twice (without replying) in order to eliminate the indication of an unread message. Not ...

GPS now working with Omnia i910. The official link is available on the VerizonWireless web site to install the update which unblocks the GPS Block that was there and enables i910 GPS for use with Third Party software; Google Maps, etc. The update will also install other stuff which is a plus. This is a DIY Update. Working fine with my unit. I do find it takes a few minutes for the initial Sat lock but after that, ...

I do not know what that means. I have not seen that before. Wonder if we are on the same page. Wireless Manager...correct? Mine says Phone (Off or Broadband)...Bluetooth(On or Off)...WiFi(Off or the Wireless System connected to, i.e. Netgear, etc.). Not sure if we are going to help you. Verizon Navigator is a program from VZW and you pay $9.95 monthly to use. Is this what you are referring to? The Omnia i910 does have its' own GPS but VZW blocks so their VZW Navigator is the program to use. You can download Google Maps Mobile to the Omnia and everything works except the GPS part because it is blocked. Maps, Street Views, Search, etc. work but no navigation. There has ...
