Re: Bluetooth Stereo Headphones
Bluetooth 1.2 supports stereo for bluetooth headphones. Bluetooth 1.2 may be part of Samsungs upgrade to Windows 5.0.
Re: Battery Life Treo 650 vs i730? Does the i730 lose?
What is the difference between Windows Magneto and Windows Mobile 5.0? I thought 5.0 performs similar power-saving operations as Magneto.
i730 is Kinda Shaky
The two halves of the phone have some play (side-to-side) along the sliding mechanism. When I use the phone to dial, press a button, etc., the phone moves as if it's not firm along the slider. It's somewhat annoying, but I was diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder! It could be just me.

It's OFFICIAL - NO CAMERA AT ALL!
by isahotwok Today, 6:45 PM
I just spoke with a tech MANAGER at Samsung USA and they WILL NOT release a camera version of the i730 here in the US. They originaly had planned on having a camera built in but could not keep the OS stable enough to support the camera along with all the other goodies. That also explains the reason for the black spot ...
Re: It's OFFICIAL - NO CAMERA AT ALL!
That's interesting because another thread states the current i730 offering could be outfitted with a camera should Verizon decide to offer i730s with cameras. The person who started the thread claims he talked to a Samsung rep as well.
These threads are a great source of information (or misinformation) and confusion. Thanks for the update.
Has anyone experienced any side-to-side play with the phone?
When I first got the phone, I thought it was defective because there was a little side-to-side movement. It almost feels like the top part of the phone is not on the sliding mechanism properly - like it's loose. Verizon and Samsung both stated that this is normal, and that it should not pose any long-term problems. Overall, the phone is everything I expected.
Any comments?
Placing my order tomorrow, homies!
I talked to my company's VZ rep today, and he confirmed it...the Sammy i730 will hit tomorrow for business customers! He quoted me $449.00 $479.00, 2-year and 1-year contracts, respectively. I stand corrected, too! I thought VZ would disable Wi-Fi (802.11b), but he said it's on there. Man...I'm a geek and I love it!
Re: **JUNE** 16th -- With WiFI -- No Camera
I thought you might find this article interesting(www.brighthand.com/article/Verizo n_Commits_to_Samsung_i730?site=SmartPhone). It speaks specifically about wi-fi for this phone.

Re: i703: to Wi-Fi or not to Wi-Fi - there is no question!
Yes, the i730 is Wi-Fi capable, but that's not the point I'm trying to convey. VZ has the option to disable that functionality. Again, VZ invested millions of dollars into EVDO for its customers to use and generate revenue for VZ. Broadband prices continue to drop and VZ Broadband Access prices will too, as more users subscribe, including EVDO-capable cellphone users. Moreover, the type of content VZ offers and the right price points are paramount.
i703: to Wi-Fi or not to Wi-Fi - there is no question!
Let’s be clear - VZ’s bottom line is the real issue here! VZ is not going to cut off its nose to spite its face – meaning – why offer Wi-Fi capable devices especially when millions of capital dollars have been invested in order to roll out EV-DO? Hot spots are cropping up everywhere, and other wireless broadband technologies are right around the corner. VZ has a goal, and that is to make its shareholders money ...
