Has anyone experienced any side-to-side play with the phone?
When I first got the phone, I thought it was defective because there was a little side-to-side movement. It almost feels like the top part of the phone is not on the sliding mechanism properly - like it's loose. Verizon and Samsung both stated that this is normal, and that it should not pose any long-term problems. Overall, the phone is everything I expected.

Although the slider slides a little too easily (it should have just a bit more resistance), I would not say it has any side to side play. If I try to wiggle it side to side I'd guess it displaces no more than 1/128th of an inch. Nothing to even notice in my opinion. If yours really has side to side play, I'd be concerned. Perhaps a Verizon store now has samples you can compare it to.
