Re: think again buddy
Remember all this is is tower access nothing more. Sprint is the ONLY company that owns their own towers sop they didn't have to wait for anyone to implement this. this was proven in 9/11 and katrina, first responders were the only phones who had acces to sprint towers
Re: Sounds super spiffy!!!
Its not like that. The phones have predefined priority. so basically if joey has a phone a he's a baker and billy has a phone and he's a cop, Billy would have priority to the tower because he's a cop. this is necessary because of things like 9/11 and 5pm in most major cities. A tower can only hold a limited amount of people, this system just gives priority to the people that need it the most.
Re: Other carriers?
Sprint and they're affiliates have had it in place for years. they call it Access Overload Class.

Alright listen!!! I've worked for Sprint for 2 years now (I've been a stock holder for 5.) And the biggest complaint I hear is about rebates and people not qualifying for them. First of all do you Know how much Sprint (or any wireless company for that matter,) pays for the phone, (that when you buy it at what you consider full price is already a lost to the company,) do you know how much it cost to put ...
Re: It'd better do this.. or else
The phone is not defective. When the phone goes off network it does not forget the time the. When you go to calender it is just asking you to confirm the time. By you being of network the phone doesn't know if you've witched time zones or whatever since it last talked to a digital tower. If you look at your watch when you go to calender ( or any other device that has the correct time,) the time ...

When are we gonna see Sanyo's new product line for '05???
Re: They ARE NOT the first....
Exactly, they are the first because T-mobile does for the sidekick because they are also the manufacturer, so that means that the manufacturer is offering OTA programming, Verizon and Sorint were both offering OTA PRL updates since late 2001, Sprint is the first to offer software updates and patches.
