How many TV stations will give up their spectrum?
How about....precisely NONE?

Re: Day late and a dollar short?
Indeed...TMo just drew blood from AT&T and I don't think anyone knew just how valuable that spectrum and cash combined was at the time. If DT will just double down here in the US, TMo will have a brilliant future and AT&T will rue the day it agreed to those buyout terms.
Re: Good for ya TMO!!!
Given the HUGE amounts of money that AT&T, Verizon and Sprint are making off the iPhone , I don't think TMo wants to go down that path anytime soon.
Re: are you really
Andrew....Tracfone SIMs cannot be switched from one phone to another, unlike every other SIM in the known universe. And once a Tracfone SIM is activated with a number, it's almost impossible to change that number.
No, this company is an odd duck. It's best to simply do something else. Fortunately, I haven't spent a lot of money on it.
Tracfone destroyed my account in one phone call...
This evening, I have had absolutely the worst customer service that I have ever, ever experienced from any company whatsoever out of Tracfone. If, after reading this you choose to activate with this company, well, I would just wonder why.
A week ago I activated a Motorola W376g. After four days, the phone failed. It wouldn’t turn on at all. On Saturday, I called Tracfone, went through the normal routine of checking the phone out. ...
Outside display-caller ID?
Subject says it all, does the outside display display the incoming call info or is it just symbols like other Motos?
thanks!
Re: switchable 850/1900 phone for TMo?
Yea folks, I can find the network screen and attempt to switch networks, but unlike the Sprint to Verizon switch, TMo won't let you do it as long as there's ANY TMo signal around.
sigh...........
Re: switchable 850/1900 phone for TMo?
Actually, I'm trying to do the opposite. I'm trying to FORCE roaming when I'm in a weak TMo/strong AT&T area. Yes, I'm on TMo right now and really like the service. However I know for a fact that in some of the places where I have signal issues on 1900, that AT&T on 850 is fine, yet I can't access it since there is (barely) a TMo signal.
I've got a couple of Samsung and Nokia phones, ...
switchable 850/1900 phone for TMo?
Folks...I travel a LOT into places where 1900 service is spotty, but my current phone insists on hanging onto TMo at 1900 when strong roaming is available on AT&T at 850.
Is there a TMo phone that allows me to force roaming onto 850? When I was with Sprint, I had a Nokia flip that allowed forced Verizon roaming, regardless of Sprint strength. I'd LOVE to have that with TMo.

Re: A new phone? HELP!!!
If it doesn't say VIRGIN there's no guarantee whatsoever it will be activated.

Re: standby time
That's what I need...guess I won't be wasting any money on a new battery.

standby time
Let's dredge up this old phone one more time, shall we?
I've just been given one to use temporarily and I've read that the battery time on the D807 isn't the best in the world. I'm now getting about 100 hours standby, on constant with no calls, before a need to recharge. Would a new battery help this figure?
thanks!

Anyone know if I can import my own MP3s to use as ringtones on this little beast?

No call forwarding on a 3600....?
Folks...I've just bought an new oldstock 3600 off Ebay and have found only one glitch...there's no option for call forwarding under the tools menu.
The phone is unlocked.
Can I assume I need to have a software flash, or does anyone else have any other ideas?
thanks!

Streaming audio from Virgin FM
Has anyone here had any luck with getting streaming audio from Virgin Radio in the UK on any Series 60 phone here in the US? I'd really like to get a 6600 but until I know it can stream I'm kind of iffy on it....
More info on what I'm talking about can be found at:

Streaming audio from the UK...
Folks...I'd like to find a Sprint device that will allow me to listen to radio over the Internet, namely Virgin radio in the UK. Virgin streams many formats, including MP3. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I thought the Sanyo MM8300 would work, but it times out every time I try to access the stream.

Re: Streaming audio from Cingular phones?
Unlimited Internet $20 a month through the phone? If I get the audio I want I could certainly live with that.
Re: Streaming audio from Cingular phones?
Yea, the 6620 looks like THE phone to do this with Cingular.
Now onto the ugly question...how much am I going to have to pay to, in effect, listen to the radio on my phone?
I'm on my way now to check out Cingular's data plans again, but even after giving them a quick once-over I'm confused to how they work.
Let's say I listen to a 32K stream for an hour. How much data would that be?
Re: Streaming audio from Cingular phones?
Well, I had seen Real on a couple of phones, but AFAIK it was for playback of local files. Streaming audio from a Cingular phone would solve a LOT of problems for me, though.
Streaming audio from Cingular phones?
Folks - I'm looking for (don't laugh) a phone that will allow me to access Internet radio stations, as I can now with RealPlayer. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
